As what should have been expected, the next day at lunch Emily was pointedly sitting alone at an empty table. You, Jungkook, and Sam noticed and all looked at each other in surprise. Jungkook ultimately ended up shrugging and continuing to eat while you occasionally looked at her out of the corner of your eye.

Was she telling the truth? Emily was a sort of figure that confused you. She seemed to be lonely really; hanging out with who she did as if it were the only option to cure this. She always seemed distant, as if she had little in common with the rest of the girls.

At the same time though this seemed to drag her into things that made you uncomfortable and untrusting. She had said some things to you in the past that now made you weary and ultimately turn away from her lonely form as well.

To everyone's surprise, Sam seemed to be the one who couldn't look away from Emily eating alone. He was unusually silent. After hitting Jungkook who had tried to drop a cracker down the back of your shirt, you turned to see him staring at the girl completely out of it.

"Sam?" You questioned, he jumping a little at the sound of his name and Jungkook looking over questioningly. He looked over to see the two of you staring at him and he released a nervous chuckle.

"What? Sorry, I'm a little out of it today."

"Yes," Jungkook agreed, and Sam glared at him.

"Look I've just been thinking OK? I know what it's like to be kicked out of a group of people. It's actually scary at first. And I don't know if you've noticed but it looks like Emily is going through the same thing I did. I say we invite her over."

You and Jungkook looked at each other for a moment; clearly a bit shocked by his kindness and sincerity.

"Um... I don't know," you trailed off, still a little worried.

"Look I don't like her at all either and I totally get why you're hesitating," Sam quipped, "But I still want to give her a chance. I... sort of believe her because... I don't know. I just do."

Jungkook suddenly smirked and pointed an accusing finger at him.

"You like her?" He questioned, teasing his friend.

Sam grimaced.

"Ew. No. I actually hate her."

Jungkook didn't quite listen to his statement and began mocking him further by making kissing noises, causing Sam to get angry.

"You're one to talk!" He hissed, and Jungkook glared at him with a light blush before lunging for his friend; you seeing their fight coming and quickly getting between it by pulling Jungkook back before it escalated.

"Hey! Don't fight at school!" You scolded, and they both angrily sat back down. When they were both calm again you sighed. "Sam I'm OK if you want to invite her over here," You informed him; the two looking at you in surprise before Sam practically sprinted over to the empty table.

"(Y/N) why," Jungkook whined, "She is mean."

"It's not going to kill us to invite her to sit with us. Besides, we are supposed to be above them. Ignoring is below."

Jungkook clearly didn't understand what you were talking about at all so shrugged and went back to trying to drop food down the back of your shirt.

"Stop!" You hissed; pushing him away while he smirked. "Jungkook you're so annoying sometimes."

You watched as Sam talked to Emily; her eyes widening in shock as he motioned towards the table. She seemed to hesitate for a moment before nodding; Sam helping her move her things as they approached.
