"Aunty A we missed u so much where have you been?" The kids ranted out.

"My babies, I missed you too. Now get up so I can get up."

They started getting up when DeeDee reached them.
"You are going to get your aunty admitted in the hospital at this rate. Eeman help Fadeelah up."

"How can you possibly love your secretary Areef? That is unprofessional. What do you even….. "

Amrah started but she was cut off when Deedee said,

"…wait, Areef loves his secretary? But that’s Airah." Deedee’s eyes suddenly lit up and if you looked carefully you could see the fireworks in her eyes. But she was quickly bought out of her reverie when she heard Kabeer exchanging pleasantries with Amrah’s parents.

"Oh ya rabbi, Mommy Good evening." She greeted Amrah’s parents.

Some minutes later, After Airah left (which was immediately she greeted Mamy and her guests) and also Amrah’s clan. The Kasheems were all seated in the living room as Mamy explains to them what had brought Amrah and her parents to the house. Which was to join Areef and Amrah in holy matrimony.

"Mamy is it not the man's side that are supposed to bring forth a proposal? Isn’t it a little brazen for Amrah to accompany her parents to come and ask a man’s hand in marriage?" Deedee reasoned.

Mamy sighed before saying, "well that happens when you can’t say no to your child. Now that aside, Areef you never told us you like Airah talk more of loving her?"

Areef who was still burning with rage at the audacity of Amrah to think she can force herself on him through their parents was seated a little far from them tapping away on his phone until he heard Mamy’s question.
He rolled his eyes discreetly. "

"Mamy, it just happened. When you see someone almost every day the feelings develop overnight."

He knew he didn’t have to lie to Mamy to avoid marrying Amrah, but he still can replay Mamy’s expression and the pride and gratefulness in her eyes when he announced he loved Airah. He realized how much joy and happiness it will bring his mother if he is to marry Airah and it will definitely get Amrah’s parents off his back.

So he has found a way to make everybody happy, well except may be Amrah and her parents and also, of course Airah.

"Earth to Areef!" Deedee snapped her fingers.

"Where did you zone off to? Mamy was saying something." She said with clear amusement on her face.

Mamy smiled before continuing.

"Well I said if that is the case I suppose we should waste no time. Kabeer and your uncle can go to their house this coming Friday for proposal."

Areef jerked up at the mention of that. He had a lot to put into place first before all that.

"Mamy, lets finalize things with Airah first, and I promise as soon as we are ready all that can be done."

Mamy exchanged glances with Both Kabeer and Deedee and then nodded in the affirmative.

Areef heaved a sigh of relief before excusing himself. As soon as he reached his room he flopped down on his bed massaging his temples. He knew he had a lot of work to do, a lot of things to sort and a lot of money to loose.

Airah reached home still shocked from the episode at the Kasheems. She knew there’s no possible way that her boss will be in love with her. He must have said it just to discourage Amrah. But still she felt butterflies flutter in her stomach.
