This is must must-watch lesbian classic filled with crime, thriller, violence and obviously lesbians. Corky is a soft butch who is immediately infatuated by Violet, the femme fatale who uses her sexuality to seduce men and use them but with Corky she finally feels something genuine.
At first, it might seem that the movie is just an erotic popcorn masher but as it progresses the plot thickens and traps you in the web of murder, blood, sex and money. I have seen many people criticise the erotic scenes in the movie by saying it was for the enjoyment of straight men but I felt that it was just the Wachowski Sisters projecting their closeted queerness into the film.
It also makes the film even more better that despite being a crime movie with lesbians in the 90s, both gays were able to survive till the end and run away to live and spend their lives. together.
