''I see that you're nervous,'' Dazai smirked and stated while pointing at the man in front of him. His voice sent chills down the enemy's spine, the adult felt as if his soul was looked through by the boy. He quickly denied as he took a quick glance at his coworker who was standing across him, behind Dazai. Dazai chuckled a little under his breath. ''Right, yeah you're not nervous at all, totally .'' He shrugged like the firearms aimed at him didn't matter a tiny bit.

The man standing behind him spoke, ''I didn't think the boss would send the two of you here, Dazai, I'm flattered,'' he said faking a confident smirk while his heart couldn't beat any faster. ''I'm sure you know you don't have a slight chance of getting away right? My dog will soon be here to protect his owner from...'' he swirled his finger in the air, ''...whatever this is. You could've been able to escape if your ego didn't cloud your already awful judgements though.'' Dazai's shoulder sagged as he let out a disappointed sigh.

''We don't need your words of comfort you monster, we know that we can't win Nakahara if we go head on, as well as not being able to escape from you, demonic genius,'' the man continued while the other adult stood there quietly. ''But if we make you our hostage, we may be able to escape, even the slightest chance of survival, we WILL take it.''

The screams from inside the warehouse eventually stopped. Chuuya came out and went straight for the spot he had told his partner to stay and wait. But no sign of him was to be seen. He immediately went in search for Dazai only to find him surrounded by two armed traitors.

Dazai frowned a little and put up a confused face, he pointed his slim finger towards the direction behind the enemy. ''Who's that ?'' The two men instantly looked at where he was pointing but of course, there was nothing there. On cue, Chuuya bolted with full speed at the man in front of Dazai from behind an old truck parked near.

The other's eyes widened at the moment he realised it was a mere trick up Dazai's sleeve. But before he could react, his coworker crashed into him, sending him flying backwards, far away from who he thought was his hostage a second ago. It felt like he had been hit by a car on a highway. His head was dizzy and he couldn't stand up. As soon as he tried to move he felt agony in his chest, his ribs were probably broken.

Then another force broke more of his ribs without mercy. ''Now this, is for betraying the mafia.'' Chuuya stomped on the wounded man's chest, causing him to cough up blood. ''And THIS...'' He took out his knife from his waist. ''...is for pointing your damn gun at him.'' His voice sounded cold, yet anger not hidden in his low voice.

''Chuuuuuuuuyyaaaaaaa are you doooooooone~?'' Dazai called out from where he stood in a slurred tone like he was singing. Chuuya turned his back towards the man, whose throat was already dripping blood from his last breath. ''Tsk shut up you freakin Mackerel I told you to stay there !'' He stared at Dazai.

''Well someone with a brain has to look at the surroundings for anything odd or other hidden dangers, and that couldn't be you obviously,'' Dazai narrowed his eyes at Chuuya with a mischievous smile on his face, mocking Chuuya. ''Plus I DID find the hidden enemies, so you're welcome.'' Dazai started walking to the direction of their car after waving the shorty off.

Chuuya just stood there and blinked, seemingly processing what Dazai had just said. ''HaaAARR??!! WHAT DO YOU MEAN SOMEONE WITH A BRAIN AND IT COULDN'T BE ME ??!!'' Dazai shrugged before replying. ''It means what the words mean Chibi~'' Then Chuuya grunted. ''GET BACK HERE YOU ANNOYING MUMMY !!'' He yelled at the top of his lungs while running after Dazai.

''How'd you know there were people hiding by the way?'' Chuuya asked as he walked alongside Dazai. ''Do you remember that it was raining this morning?'' ''It was?'' Chuuya blurted out his reply. Then Dazai suddenly stopped and turned to the shorty. He spoke in disbelief yet in a flat tone. ''You don't remember that? First off, it's only like 4pm and you've forgotten about things that happened in the morning? Plus, it wasn't just any morning, at least I know that I won't forget THIS PARTICULAR MORNING.''

Chuuya stared at Dazai with the words ''I don't remember'' written on his face.

Dazai sighed like he was explaining to a university student about where babies come from. ''You literally slipped and fell over a puddle of water and pulled me down by my shirt, Chibi ! We were both wet and dirty and we had to go back to your apartment to clean ourselves up to start our o-so pleasant journey to get breakfast, for the second time !''

Chuuya's face immediately turned bright red as memories started flowing back to him, drowning him with absolute embarrassment. ''Okay! Okay! It was raining what about it ?'' He couldn't bear hearing another thing about this morning. ''So~'' Dazai continued as he began walking again.

''I'm sure you know that the sand we step on must be dry because of this weather. But as we make contact with it, pressure is exerted on it, causing it to get ruffled and the sand under the surface gets revealed,'' the brunette explained as he stopped again and pointed at the trail of dark colour behind him. Chuuya too stopped walking as his eyes went from Dazai's finger to the ground. ''The sand underneath has a darker shade of colour, which means it's damp. So it had been raining over here too.''

Chuuya looked at his partner, taking in all the information. ''But the trails quickly fades as the water evaporates due to this oven-like heat. When I went over to that exit, there were no guards and yet there were trails like these on the ground. Meaning, there were people who had just left a couple of minutes ago. So I went a little farther away from the warehouse knowing that they were hiding and would most probably show themselves for the purpose of holding me hostage. Cuz any mafia member would know that I'm not the fighting type.'' Chuuya simply nodded and went for the car.
