RECAP: "I love you, Eleanor."

I lift my head off his chest and look at him with my jaw dropped.

"Y-you don't have to say it back right now, I just thought I'd t-" I cut him off by grabbing his face and smashing my lips onto his.

I pull away from the kiss and lean my forehead against his, staring at his beautiful stormy eyes, "I love you too," I softly speak.

His eyes light up and he flips us over and hovers over me. I look up at him to see he's grinning so wide with a childish gleam in his eyes.

"Say it again." He says eagerly.

I smile and let out a little laugh at his cuteness, "I love you, Leo."

He starts to shower me in kisses all over my face and I can't help but giggle because it tickles.

"I love you so much." He says in between each kiss.

Okay! Okay! Stop!" I say, still giggling.

He pulls back and smiles at me, "How did I get so lucky?" He asks no one in particular.

"What do you mean?"

"You're so beautiful and perfect. I never would of thought that I would get stuck with a woman like you. And honestly, I'm glad that we met because before you, my life was boring and I was always grumpy but you, my love, you bring out the happiness in me. I will always love you, Eleanor." He finishes and wipes my tears that I didn't even know I let out.

I sniffle, "I'm happy that I met you too. You helped me through so much and I can't thank you enough."

He pulls me in for a sweet, passionate kiss. Our lips move in sync and I can tell how much he means those words.

"I love you." He says, pulling away from the kiss.

"I love you too."

~❀~

I'm in the kitchen making a snack when I feel a pair of arms wrap around my waist.

Already knowing who it is, I lean back into his chest and sigh.

"What's wrong baby?" He asks and kisses the crown of my head.

"Nothing, I just missed you." I say, turning around and wrapping my arms around his neck.

"I missed you too, love." He kisses my forehead.

"Do you wanna try something?" He asks and I look at him confused.

"Um, sure?" I say but it comes out more as a question.

He chuckles at me, "Don't worry, it's not anything bad." He takes out his phone and puts on slow music. He puts his arms back around my waist and smirks at me.

"Slow dance?"

He nods, "I felt like we needed to do this," he softly speaks and starts to match the rhythm of the music. We sway to the song and I rest my head on his shoulder.

"You know, this is like how my parents slow danced." I say, reminiscing.

"Really?"

I nod, "Yeah. The lights would be dimmed and they would have on slow music. I could tell they loved each other so much. I just wish she didn't leave. If she didn't, none of the abuse would have happened. I should have done something." I mumble the last part to myself.

"Baby, remember what I said a few months ago?" He suddenly asks me.

I look up at him and tilt my head in confusion, "No, what did you say?"

"That you couldn't control what she did. It's her fault for leaving you. It was her decision and I hate her for it even though I've never met her. So stop blaming yourself, my love." He tells me and I listen close to every word he says.

"Okay?" He asks.

"Okay."

We decide to slow dance to one more song and I couldn't be happier. I never wanted this moment to end. It was too surreal.

After the song ends, we decide to start saying goodbye to Danielle. We walk into her room to see her playing with her dolls.

"Danny, Eleanor and I have to go now." Leo says, crouching down in front of her.

She stops playing with her dolls and looks up at him with tears in her eyes.

"No! Don't leave." She exclaims and jumps into Leo's arms.

"I know, but we have to go. I promise we will visit again." He reassures her.

I see her nod her head and he whispers something in her ear to make her giggle. She jumps out of his arms and runs up to me.

"Bye bye, Lea!" She says and kisses me on the cheek. I kiss her cheek in return.

"Bye, Danny. Next time we visit, I'll bring a new doll for you. Sound good?" She nods her head excitedly and goes back to playing with her toys.

I sigh and straighten up.

"You ready to go baby?" Leo comes up to me.

"Yeah."

We walk hand in hand to the foyer where Leo's parents await us.

Lindsey stands next to Jack and in an instant she pulls me into a hug.

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" She repeats over and over again.

"You're welcome." I say and hug her back.

She pulls Leo into the hug and he stands stiffly. I laugh at how uncomfortable he looks.

"You guys are amazing babysitters. You guys really should do this again sometime." She smiles at us both.

"We would love to." She grins wider at me. I notice Jack watching from afar.

"Mr. Godfrey." I greet him and stares blankly at me in return.

"Jack." He simply says.

"Jack." I correct myself.

He raises an eyebrow at me in question.

"I just wanted to say thank you for letting me come along to babysit your daughter. I've been wanting to meet her ever since the first time Leo mentioned her." I smile politely at him.

"Don't make this such a big deal." He says and I smile to myself. I can deal with his attitude. At least he's talking to me more.

I hold my hand out to him. He stares at my hand before slowly shaking it.

"Eleanor! It's time to go!" I hear Leo say.

"We'll, I gotta go but thank you again." He nods curtly at me.

I happily walk over to Leo and we head out of his parents place and he drives back to his house, our house.
