"Do you know how to take the test?" Alex asks me as I walk closer to the bathroom with a pregnancy test in hand.
"Yes, Alex, I've got this. If I need help, I'll tell you." I smile softly at her.
I close the door behind me and unbox the test. My heart races in my chest and it feels like it's going to burst.
I began to have symptoms a week ago when I realized I didn't get my period and my period is never late. I called Alex and Amanda freaking out because I didn't know what to do. They drove me to the drug store and bought me more than one test to be sure.
I sit on the toilet and do wha to have to do to get a result.
I wait thirty minutes, way longer than I should because I'm nervous. Is Leo even ready to be a father. I mean, we talked about children but he never said if he wanted to be a dad.
I take a deep breath before flipping the test over.
Positive.
I let out a shaky breath before bursting into tears.
"El, Are you okay in there?" Amanda's voice sounds from the other side of the door.
"Y-yeah, I'm okay." I say back.
"Do wanna come out?" Alex asks.
I unlock the door with the test behind my back.
Alex and Amanda stand in front of the bathroom door with sympathetic looks.
"What's the result?"
I hand them the test and play with the hem of my shirt.
"Oh my god! Eleanor, you're pregnant!" Both of the girls jump up and down in excitement.
"We're gonna be aunts!" Amanda comments.
Alex pulls me into a hug and I hug her back.
"How do you feel about this?" She asks once they got down from their high.
I shrug, "I'm not sure. I am happy to become a mother but I don't know how Leo will react. What if he doesn't even want to be in our baby's life? Or he doesn't even want to be a father?"
"Eleanor, I promise you Leonardo will be so fucking happy." Amanda assures me.
"I hope." Now all I have to do is wait until he gets home.

As I'm watching TV, the front door opens, revealing Leo with a bag of Chinese food that has my stomach growling just from the smell of it.
