Ch. 5

                                               Cameron POV 

After eating a massive burger and fries, Ric was looking at me like I had three heads, 

"What?" I asked 

"When was the last time you ate?" He asked 

I just shrugged, 

"So what you wanna talk about?' I asked 

"Well for starters where are your parents?" He asked 

"And before you say you guys just moved here I had the Sheriff look up recent residents and there have been none," He said 

"Well umm," I began to panic 

"Look a donkey in a banana suit!" I said pointing behind him

He looked, 

and I took that as my chance and ran, 

I can't believe that worked I thought as I ran, 

I looked behind me making sure no one was following me, 

I need to be more careful I thought as I ran, 

They find out and they will send me back and I don't ever want to go back, Ever, 

I was running in the woods and looking behind me when suddenly I ran into someone, I fell on my bottom, 

I looked up it was a man I didn't meet yet, 

"Oh I'm sorry kid didn't see you there," He said helping me up, 

"It's no big deal," I said smiling ear to ear, 

"What were you running from any way?' He asked 

"Oh just a very intense game of hide and seek," I said smiling 

He chuckled, 

"I'm Mason," He said holding out his hand, 

"Cameron," I said 

"Nice to meet you Mason," I said smiling 

"You too, but I have to get going," He said 

"Okay, see you later," I said 

He nodded 

"Oh and make sure you are not in these woods at night, it's dangerous, with all the wild animals around here," He said 

"I won't I promise," I said 

He nodded and walked off, 

I hear crunching of leaves, 

Oh right I was running away from Ric, I thought as I ran

                                          Ric POV 

This kid is fast, I thought as I chased down Cameron, she's hiding something it's not hard to tell since she tried to distract me so she could run, 

I followed her through the woods, seeing her jump through a window of a abandoned house, 

"What is up with her and abandoned houses," I mumbled as I did the same thing, 

                                                             Cameron POV 

I get to the house huffing and puffing from running, 

"I think I lost him," I mumbled my back towards the door, 

Suddenly I'm lifted 

"Hey! Put me down!" I yelled 

Suddenly I'm slung over Ric's shoulder, 

"Hey cut it out!" I said hitting him in the back as my legs kicked, 

"I don't think so were going to have a nice long chat," Ric said 

"We just did that!" I yelled 

"Yeah before you bailed," He said 

"Come on cut it out put me down! you, You knuckle head!" I said trying to think of a word

He chuckled clearly finding it amusing,

                                 Ric POV 

the kid is pretty funny when she is mad, I thought 

But I am going to find out what the kid is keeping from me I don't like how she's wandering around on her own, 

Especially in this town, with Vampires, and now Werewolves, 

I am going to get her to tell me, I thought
