Ch. 7

Cameron POV

It has been a few days, And I have been being watched like a hawk by either Ric or The Salvatore's,

I don't know why? I mean I've been on my own for at least six months, I thought as Ric had me by the hand as we walked into the Salvatore's home,

"Thanks for coming, Ric. Tiny Can I get you something to drink? Coffee, bourbon? Bourbon in your coffee?" Damon said to Ric

"Juice?" He said looking at me

"Elena mentioned you needed my help." Ric said

"Yeah, we were hoping you could help shed some light on the Lockwood family." Stefan said

"Now, why would I know anything about the Lockwood's?" Ric said

"Well, you wouldn't. But your dead, not-dead vampire wife might." Damon said

"Isobel's research from when you guys were at Duke together." Elena said

"You said that she had spent years researching this town." Stefan said

"Isobel's research here in Mystic Falls rooted in folklores and legends but at the time I thought much of which was fiction." Ric said

"Like that amazing vampire story." Damon said

So let me tell you why I'm not shocked about this, on my road to running I encountered a Vampire, he told me all about Vampire's witches and werewolves, He was a real gentleman, taught me a thing or two on how to defend myself,

"Aside from vampires, what else?" Elena said
"The lycanthrope." Ric said

"Wait, like werewolves?" Elena said

"Yup, Their bite is lethal to a Vampire," I said sitting next to Damon,

They all looked shocked,

"Or so I've heard," I mumbled

"No way, impossible, way too Lon Chaney." Damon said

" Is it?" Stefan said

"I've been on this planet one hundred and sixty some odd years, never came across one. If werewolves exist, where the hell are they?" Damon said

"Why do you suspect the Lockwoods?" Ric said

"Because vervain didn't affect the mayor at Founders' Day but the Gilbert device did and it affected his son Tyler." Damon said

" And at the school carnival his uncle Mason exhibited inhuman behavior when he fought with one of the carnival's workers." Stefan said

"It suggests it's some sort of a supernatural entity." Stefan said

"We were hoping that Isobel's research could help us figure it out what it is." Elena said

" Well, all her things are still at Duke. I mean her office is still there. She's technically still missing." Ric said

" So can we get access to it?" Damon asked

" Ric, we need to know what we are dealing with. If this wolfman thing is true, I've seen enough movies to know it's not good." Damon said

" It means Mason Lockwood is a real-life Lon Chaney and that little Tyler punk may just very well be Lon Chaney junior, which means Bella Lugosi, meaning me, is totally screwed." Damon said

I was waiting by the car when I see everyone including Ric walk to the car,

"I call shot gun," I said

"I don't think so Tiny, in the back," Damon said pushing me playfully
