Jungkook opened his eyes and took in his surroundings.

He was lying in his bed, with his husband Taehyung sleeping peacefully next to him.

The memories of the previous night flooded his mind, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.

The thing was, Jungkook wasn't used to being vulnerable.

He was the cold one in the relationship, the one who always kept his emotions in check.

Taehyung, on the other hand, was sensitive and soft, and he wore his heart on his sleeve.

These differences in their personalities had initially attracted them to each other, but Jungkook couldn't help but worry if he had hurt Taehyung last night.

He turned to look at his husband, who had shifted in his sleep and was now facing him.

Taehyung's face was relaxed, and a small smile played on his lips.

He looked so peaceful, and Jungkook couldn't fathom why he was feeling so anxious.

He got out of bed and went to the bathroom, his mind racing with questions.

Did Taehyung regret last night?

Did he do something that had upset him?

The silence in the room was deafening, and Jungkook felt like he was suffocating.

He splashed some water on his face, trying to clear his thoughts.

He had to talk to Taehyung, but he didn't know how to broach the subject.

He wasn't used to discussing his feelings with someone else, let alone his husband.

Jungkook exited the bathroom and headed downstairs to tell his father he was going to stay home today and help Taehyung to get comfortable with them.

On the way there he met his mother.

“Jungkook, let me remind you he is only here for an heir.”

Jungkook's mother had always been quite vocal about her beliefs in family values and traditional gender roles.

She believed that the ultimate goal of marriage was to have children and continue the family line and that it was Taehyung's responsibility to provide a male heir.

It was no surprise then that she had been constantly reminding Jungkook about his duty to find a wife/husband and start a family.

However, when Jungkook finally got arranged to Taehyung as his husband, his mother's reaction was far from enthusiastic.

She was visibly upset and seemed to disapprove of Taehyung's presence in Jungkook's life since she no says in Mr. Jeon’s decision.

In her mind, Taehyung was not a suitable partner for her son as he could not fulfill the basic requirement, that he is going to be a distraction for Jungkook.

Jungkook had always known of his mother's views, but he had hope that she would accept and support his relationship with Taehyung now that they were already married.

However, his mother's disapproval only added to the stress and confusion that he was already feeling.

“My and Taehyung’s relationship is between us Mother, when we are ready for children we will talk, we got married Yesterday for god’s sake.”

Jungkook knew that Taehyung probably was not interested in having children yet, and he could not bring himself to ask his partner to change his mind.

Well, he forgot they didn’t use protection.

Jungkook's mother did not hold back in voicing her opinions.

In all fact, she didn’t even want Jungkook to get married or even get a heir she had her own plans, and her son wasn’t even aware of her true self, so why not play him.

She spotted Taehyung making his way out of the room, probably in search of Jungkook, which only made her smirk grow.
