last Christmas standing

Open on the Baxter house as mike was trying to get everyone ready for church
As Eve was waiting in the living room

Mike: come on   let's go   we're gonna be late!

Eve: why do we Even have to go to church

Mike: because  like everyone else  we are hedging  our bets    it's Christmas time    God  pays  a lot  closer  attention
This time of year    it's like October in baseball  every game counts

(As Mandy  Jeff  Megan and Jessica come downstairs)

Jeff: all right  we're ready 

(As Jeff was wearing a suit with a tie around his neck  as  Megan was wearing a nice but also appropriate dress  while they dressed Jessica in a little white  dress  as Jeff got his coat and his wife and daughter's coats too )

Mandy: I can't find  my church purse anywhere

(As everyone noticed how short Mandy's dress is )

Mike: what the

Eve: or the bottom half of that dress

Mandy: at least  I'm not dressed  like a sister wife

Eve: well at least  my dress didn't come with a stripper pole

Mandy: dad!

Mike: hey  it's Christmas   deck the halls
Not each other

Mandy: okay  I just have to get my purse 

(As Mandy went back upstairs)

Mike: no no  d d  don't   go  back up

(As Vanessa came downstairs )

Mike: you know  trying  to  get you guys to go to  church  is  like  herding cats

Vanessa: honey  honey   honey   why don't  we just  not  go

Mike: we're going to church   come on
Come on   come on   please 

Vanessa: all right   yeah  but it's  just
It's a  week  before  Christmas  and  I'd rather  get stuff  done   than  sit and pray  that  it  gets done

Mike: honey  honey    if  everyone  who didn't  want to  go  to  church    didn't go to  church   it  would  just be  two old women   in the front row  shushing  empty pews

(As Mandy came back downstairs with her purse)

Mandy: I found it   ready 

Mike: great  let's go

Eve: clashes  with  your shoes

Mandy: no no no   I know  what you're doing    you're  just  trying  to  psych me out 

Eve: am I

Mandy: damn it   dad  give me  two seconds

Mike: it's hopeless    it's hopeless

(As Mandy went back upstairs Kristen came down holding Boyd  as she blocked  Mandy's way forcing her to go downstairs  )

Kristen: just a minute  turn around Mandy   come on   down the stairs
Down the stairs   all right   everybody
Time for church!   Move it!  move it!
Move it!   Move it! 

Mike: keep it moving   keep it moving

(As everyone rushed out the door with Mike and Jeff being the last ones to leave as Mike looks up at God)
