Iris
~~~
I walk up to the front desk with Avery by my side. This time I'm more aware of my surroundings. "Greetings! Are you here to pick up something?" asked the front desk lady.
"Indeed we are," said Avery with a smile. "Great what's your reference number?" she asks with a smile. Avery tells the woman all the details.
"Wonderful, let me get your outfit!" the lady said with a smile. 5 minutes later the lady comes back with a stunning mint green outfit. "That's mine?" I say smiling.
Avery grins and nods. "Thank you so much!" I say as I hug my sister. "No problem, Iris." said Avery. We walk out of the shop, Avery holding the outfit in a bag.
She placed the bag into the trunk and we made our way to the figure skating rink. "I'm so, so nervous." I say sweating a little. "Don't be, you have so much potential and you shown it multiple times." she reassures me.
I smile warmly at her feeling flattered. After an hour we reach the ice rink and, my god its huge. I walk inside, seeing a few old acquaintances. I greet them all and head into the dressing room.
The mint green outfit sparkled in the room. I excitedly put it on, the competition was starting in 20 minutes. I exit the dressing room looking stunning in the outfit.
I sit myself onto a bench, my white skates in hand. The other competitors are beautiful, I watch them as I tie up my skates. "Hello," said a girl with black hair, blue eyes and about my age. "Hello there," I reply.
"You look stunning, my name is Harper by the way," the girl said. "Nice to meet you Harper, I'm Iris," I say with a smile. "I hope I win this, honestly I'd not like anyone to get in my way, but it is what it is hmm." says Harper with a cocky tone.
I nod. "Oh uhm, I have to go, see ya!" she says as she scurries away. "That was, uhm. Interesting." I thought to myself.
15 minutes later the competition begins. All these different figure skaters, skate with grace and beauty. How the hell am I going to even come close to beating them.
After 3 skaters performed beautifully, it was finally my turn. I was sweating from the pressure, but I decided to brush it off and do my best. As I walked towards the ice, I noticed someone familiar.
Someone I've seen before. Those cold eyes. It was him. That same man whom I bumped into was one of the sponsors/judges. "Shit, I'm screwed." I muttered under my breath.
