"Good morning, my little angel," I murmured, my voice still husky with sleep as I reached over the gently wake Ava.
Ava stirred, rubbing her eyes and blinking up at her mother with a sleepy smile. " Mama," she mumbled, reaching for me.
I chuckled softly, my heart swelling with love for my daughter. " time to wake up boo, we have a big day ahead of us."
With a groan I reluctantly got out of bed, feeling the cool wooden floor beneath her feet. I peeled the curtains back making the room flood with light.
Ava sat up in bed, her eyes wide with wonder as she took in the sunrise outside. "Pretty" she said softly her voice filled with awe
I smiled " yes it is, now let's get you in the bath"
As the bath water was running I was picking out our outfits, for Ava I picked her out a black romper, and for myself I picked out a white crop top and green cargo pants Thier outfits

After that I picked Ava up pampering her cubby checks with kisses and made my way to the bathroom stoping the water.
Ava splashed and giggled in the warm water, I smiled " your such a water baby, Ava" I said with a giggle knowing that I loved the water too
After the bath, I wrapped Ava in a fluffy towel, Ava squirmed and giggled as I tickled her.
" alright time to get dressed" I said my voice soft but firm as she reached for Ava's cloths
Ava nodded eagerly, holding out her arms as i helped her in her cloths, after I got her dressed and did her hair I got ready myself.
I then picked Ava back up " ready to go see Nika, Ava?" I asked my voice filled with excitement.
Ava nodded, her eyes shining with anticipation. "Nika!"
I smiled, pressing a kiss to her forehead as I made my way to the door.
With Ava safely nestled in my arms, I made my way down the stairs and out onto the bustling city streets. The air filled with the sound of cars honking and people chatting.
As we walked to the bus stop, I couldn't help but marvel at the sight of Ava taking in the world around her with wondering eyes.
After a short bus ride, and a little bit of a walk, we arrived as we approached the mansion I could help but feel insecure and I looked around the nice neighborhood.
However, as Onika opened the door with a warm smile, all my worries melted away. "Hey! Welcome" Onika exclaimed, with a wide smile as she greeted us.
I returned the smile, feeling a sense of relief wash over her " thank you for having us, Onika," she said stepping inside with Ava in tow.
Onika's house was just as elegant and inviting as I had imagined. Soft music played in the background, and the scent of fresh flowers filled the air. Ava's eyes widened in confusion as she took in her surroundings, her hand gripping my tightly.
Onika knelt down beside Ava, her eyes sparkling with warmth. " hello, my little munchkin," she said softly " it's so nice to see you again" she continued
Ava beamed up at Onika, her shyness melting away as she reached out to wrap her arms around Onika's neck in a tight hug.
I watched the interaction with a sense of awe, Onika had always been a source of strength and support, and seeing Ava bond with her only strengthened their connection
As Onika led us into the living room, I couldn't help but feel a pane of jealousy at the sight of the luxurious furniture and elegant decor. I couldn't image how Onika afforded such a lavish lifestyle, but I pushed the thought aside, focusing on the warmth of Onika's smile
"Make yourself a at home," Onika said,gesturing towards the couch and cozy blankets scattered advises it " I thought we would just have a chill day at watch movies"
My eyes lit up with excitement at the suggestion " that sounds perfects" as I sat on the couch with Ava beside her
Onika settled in beside them, the she turned to Ava " what do you want to watch" Ava looked at her and put her hand in her chin like she was in deep thought but I know that she is just going to ask for tangled " let down your hairrr!" Ava finally says Onika then looked at me with an confused face I then told her she wanted to watch tangled
As Onika scrolled through Disney plus to find tangled, for the first time in a long time I felt at ease.
As the movie played on, I found myself drawn to Onika's side, our arms brushing against each other in the darkness. I couldn't ignore the electricity that sparked between then, I then look towards Ava to which she was watching the movie with her mouth ajar.
I then looked back at Onika only to see her looking at me too, in a moment of boldness, I leaned in and pressed my lips to Onika's, the taste of her cherry lipgloss lingering on my tongue. Onika's breast caught in her throat, her eyes widening in surprise before melting in the kiss.
In that moment, everything else faded away, leaving only the warmth and tenderness of our connection. Just then I forgot about everything that was happening.
