To simply put it, there are kids who are like always rude and all that but there are times where you're not talking back but you are. (That was probably a bad explanation)
For example:
Mum: Why can't you revise every night and get an A** than an A*.
Me: That's not possible.
Mum: ARE YOU TALKING BACK TO ME???!
Me:..... Yeah. That's how a conversation works.
Now you've done it. What parents see is you're talking back by saying that you are talking back. What a great new logic!
