the corner protected her today almost as if it
did him every day. her recording played
on the screen as she hummed along until she was called up for individual freestyle.

each member of the dance crew had a nickname,
so he didn't know her name. rain was audible as the sad clouds dripped onto the windows
from outside. but everything behind him seemed
to be shined on with sunlight.

she was one of the many who didn't know his nickname either. mainly because
nobody knew him personally or well enough to supply
a nickname for him. she wondered
if he ever found himself as lonely as she
had become.
had anyone ever given him a nickname before?

she took steps forward until she stood infront of everyone, but her eyes followed him.
he had something about him, a ray of light.
or maybe it was simply a bias.

for today he watched her. and she smiled at him. for the ease of herself she counted with her thoughts.
one, two.
restarting.

with all the power she had she gave her inspiration and hard work into one dance. just for him.
