"Anika... Meri Jaan.." Drops of saline water filled Singhania's eyes after they saw their princess back in their arms. It had mix emotions, happiness to see her but sad to realize that they could not even manage to take her out of that living hell, CareSick Mental Asylum where she was treated like a psycho.
On the other hand, Anika was confused to see the condition of her family. What happened in this 1 year that compelled them to live in a house which is merely 1/10th of their Mansion but right now, it doesn't matter.
"Papa..." she hugged the real hero whom she admires with all might. Air could not pass through them, let go a people
"Hum bhi hai line me Papa, chodiye Anika ko" Abhay said while they chuckled
After Vinay left her from his grip, Arnav pulled her into a bone crushing hug. The person who never shares his emotions so openly is crying now on his sister's shoulders
"I am sorry Anika. I promised you ki kabhi bhi tujhe mere rehte koi takleef nahi hogi lekin ab mai hi besahara hun, lachar hun" he thought
"Chal bol, meri behen ko iss raksha bandhan kya chahiye?" Arnav asked Anika when they were celebrating the festival of brother and sister- Raksha Bandhan
"Gifts to tum har baar dete ho, I don't want them now. I want a promise" she uttered with the cutest voice possible
"Kya promise?" he asked
"Yehi ki tum humesha meri raksha karoge aur mujhe bude sayon se dur rakhoge. Agar tumhare rehte mujhe koi bhi problem huyi to tum bhai kehlane ke layak hi nahi rahoge" she said and every member of the family looked at the duo. Little did they know Arnav will fail in his promise.
"Hume bhi apni nanand se milne ka mauka dijiye aur humari ladli to kabse bua ko dekhne kee liye taras rahi hai" Khushi referred towards the cradle where a little girl of 8 months is playing with the bell.
Anika's eyes started to rain again as she took the baby in her arms.
"Naam kya hai?" Anika asked while swinging her softly.
"Arshi" Khushi said.
"Perfect naam hai Bhabhi, Arnav+Khushi= Arshi" Anika chipped.
Now, they have realized what they were missing. Anika's smile, her laughter, her mocking statements, her pampers and everything about Anika.
"Meri behen ko mujhse koi kaam nahi hai na?" Abhay said with a pout.
Anika placed Arshi on the cradle back and ran to Abhay.
"Bohut kaam hai na and don't pout, you look horrible" she told him and hugged him.
"I missed you princess" he choked
"As if maine miss nahi kiya lekin un shock treatments ke bich me kuch aur sochne ka time hi kaha milta hai" she said and they understood the real meaning. They could never make up to the pain she had in a Mental Asylum. But they could promise her a better life in the remaining years.
"Anika, tum fresh ho jao, mai khana lagwati hun" Khushi said.
Anika had a lot of questions in her mind but that wasn't the correct time for that discussion. She knew that Shivaay is definitely related to all this. Never in her period of stay, he visited her. It was Arnav, Abhay and Vinay who would not leave a single chance to spend with her. Khushi never accompanied her as she was pregnant then. In the past 6 months, Anika had spent her days alone. Even when her brothers came, she would give an excuse to not meet them. Now she has released because of him, a person who has been special to her, who had been with her in the tough times.
After the meal, Anika rushed to Khushi in the kitchen and finding her alone, she felt the urge to ask her everything. How they turned so poor that her father had to lie to her daughter about the medicines which he had not even took?
"Bhabhi, mujhe sab janna hai" Anika demanded
"Kya janna hai?" Although Khushi understood but this story will only give her pain, once again
"Aapko pata hai mai kya bol rahi hun. Please Bhabhi bataiye" Anika folded her hands. When Khushi was left behind with no other option, she preferred to spill it out. Anika has full rights to know about her so called husband's deeds
Khushi began the story when the Oberois snatched away their properties cunningly and Shivaay and Tej being the mastermind.
"Papa ne unke saamne gidgidaya tumhaari azzadi ke liye. Shayad wo yahi chahte the. Hume yeh ghar de diya to compensate. Arnav ji aur Abhay ko unke hi companies se nikal diya. Ab bacha hi kya hai? Apne badle ki junoon me Oberois ne hume kahi na nahi choda." Khushi broke down in front of her but she stood like an emotionless doll there, all numb and no reaction
"Kuch bolo Anika" she jerked her but no response
"Wo mere pati hai. Shivaay" Anika had only this name on her lips.
"Tum dono ka divorce already ho gaya hai aur...(muted)"
Anika ran to her room silently.
Getting inside it, she locked the door. Today is definitely the crying day for her. She had no contols over her tears, everything seemed to be finished. Its hard for her to believe that her love betrayed her. He is the man whom she gave away everything, her heart, her soul and he broke her into million pieces. Divorce was a shock for her but that sacrifice turned her world upside down
"Meri zindagi barbaad karne ke baad mai apko chain se jeene nahi dungi Mr Shivaay Singh Oberoi. Ab tak apne mera pyaar dekha aur ab meri nafrat bhi dekhiyega. I wont spare you and your family. Apne karmo ke fal paane ke liye tayyar ho jayiye. Eke k galti ka hisaab chukana hoga. I will give you a new definition of hate and believe me, it's the worst you could ever faced. Game on"
