The next day

I woke up to find myself on bed. But I was still wearing the clothes I have from last night.

I don't remember lying on bed.

I looked at the time and it was already 6:23 am and Ryder is still in bed. I lazily got out of bed and took my morning shower, dried my hair and changed into a pair of jeans and a grey crop top hoodie.

"Wake up," I said while shaking Ryder to wake up.

"5 minutes?"

"I don't think you'll even have time to brush your teeth after that," I said.

He slowly sit up and looked at the time.

"Oh no!" He jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom without saying anything to me.

I laughed at his foolishness and grabbed my bag ready. I tied my shoelaces and stood by the door.

Come on, Ryder. Anytime now.

- A few minutes later -

"I'm done," Ryder freshly walked out of the bathroom.

"Great," I replied then opened the door. "Race you to class," I smiled and ran off without a second.

Obviously, I was the first to reach because I didn't even have him time to get ready. And thank goodness Mr. Hook isn't here yet.

"Haha!" I laughed at him on my seat.

"Next time, I'll be prepared," he replied and everyone began to look at us confusingly.

"Good morning, class," Mr. Hook entered and greeted us.

Recess

"Hey, Audrey!"

I returned around to look. "Oh, it's you"

"Look, I'm sorry about what I said yesterday to Ryder. Could you help me pass the message?" Lucas said with pleading eyes.

"Sure" I smiled. He smiled back.

"Thanks" he said and went off.

That was such a coincidence.

Hey Ryder

Audrey? What's wrong?

Where are you?

At the canteen?

Right. See you there.

I'll save a seat for you.

Okay, thanks.

"Hey Audrey!" Someone called.

"Oh, hey Phillips!" I waved.

"Where are you going?"

"Oh, to the canteen."

"Let me walk you there," he insisted.

"You don't have to," I awkwardly rejected.

"No, it's fine," he said.
