Running Late Today

Surbhi's POV

"Surbhi !!!Wake up ! This is last time I'm calling you. Wake up. Anjali must be coming anytime. Come downstairs" Mumma's voice came

"Mumma I didn't have a sleep more than 3 hours yesterday.. let me sleep " I groaned

"Surbhi wake up you are getting late for college " This time she shouted

"Awake" I huffed

"Good, waiting downstairs come soon"she replied going away.

"Ohh no! Oh my god!! Its tooo latee...I've to rushh. I've to submit my report.... I'll be late... "I screamed to myself and rushed inside the bathroom doing my morning chores !

After coming out I dressed myself in kurti and pant, tied my hairs in ponytail. I rushed to study table taking my specs, bag, stethoscope and coat I rushed downstairs.

"Surbhi you're freaking late. I've been waiting for you since so long " Yelled Anjali my bestfriend.

"I am so sorry Anjali... come let's go" I replied

"Girls have your breakfast first " Mummy stopped us

"No mumma getting very late..will eat in canteen" I said and hugged mumma and papa before running outside.

The day's going to be hectic for sure. Just then Siddarth called.

"Hi dumbo" I said over call.

"Hey dumbi "he replied and we laughed.

He called me to wish me good luck for today's assignment.

After keeping my phone in bag I saw Anjali staring at someone!

"Anjali!!" I tapped her shoulder and she looked at me!

"Did you see..he's so.." she was saying when I slapped her head from back

"We're late!! And you're stalking boys!" I told and she chuckled

"You too stalk him! Look!" She said when I slapped my fore head!

"I'm not interested ! Not my type!! Now come!" I told

"Ohh...so madam when you'll find your type "she laughed

"Anjali we don't decide when we'll find our true soulmate. Destiny has already decided." I replied

"But you know you've got so many proposals ..why don't you say yes to one." Pleaded Anjali.

She's an idiot for sure!!

"Ehh Anjali. I don't want a timepass.. I want someone whom I'll love, someone who'll love me, not someone who'll just like me. I've told you this thousand times " I stated

"Ohh ! You and your definition about love. Only you can understand this" said Anjali joining her hands dramatically.

"Now if you are done with your nonsense shall we move into the metro station." I Asked

She nodded and we both moved inside metro station & rushed to gate no 4 on which our metro has to come.

We are definitely going to be late today!
Today's Thursday which means no use of personal vehicle day.

Everyone in Indore has to use public transport only so rush was little more than other days.

As my turn came I punched my metro card to scanner and was passing through the open gates when suddenly I collided with someone.

Something happened. I don't know what but it happened.

"Surbhi you okay? "Asked Anjali

"Ye-yeah " I replied looking at the man who was having his back towards me!

What the hell was this!!

"Oh hello, can't you see. I was coming from this side naaa. Are you blind" I kind of shouted at that man.

And after a second, he turned looking at me!!
