Chapter 7

Halley's POV

we all went out to the waiting room and we were sitting in the chairs I sat next to Callie. Steph and Lena where whispering to each other, they then stood up and walked over to us

Lena: We need to talk with all of you for a minute

Jesus: what's going on?

Steph: mama and I have been talking with Bill and he has said that Hayden and Halley can be adopted if we can get their birth father to sign off on the papers

Jude: so if Donald signs the papers then they can be adopted like Callie and I?

Lena: that is correct, how do you fell about it Halley, would you like to become part of our family and to always have a place to call home?

Halley: Hayden will come too right?

Steph: yes Hayden will be apart of our family too

Halley: I would love to be in your family

Lena: great we will tell Hayden as soon as she wakes up!

We sat in the waiting room for a long time, It felt like it was taking years for Hayden to come out of surgery. Marianna and Callie kept asking me questions about myself and that helped keep me distracted.

Lena's POV 

Hayden has been in surgery for and hour and a half, about 2 hours into the surgery the surgon came out and asked to speak to Steph and I alone, Callie looked at me and I told her to come with us

Lena: what's going on?

Doctor: during the surgery Hayden had a seizure so we took her for a cat scan it showed she had a brain bleed, do any of you know if she has had any times where she was hit in the head?

Callie: several years ago she jumped out of a car and was put in a drug indusied coma, she had a brain bleed then

Lena: she was recently placed in our care due to abuse in her last foster home

Doctor: do you know if she was hit in the head?

Steph: I don't but her sister Halley may know

Lena: I'll go ask her

I quickly walked out to the waiting room and found Halley sitting on Marianna's lap

Lena: Halley did your last foster father ever hit Hayden in the head?

Halley: yes

Lena: with what

Halley: his fists, is Hayden ok?

Lena: I'm not sure we will be back out in a few minutes

I quickly went back to the room with the, doctor Steph and Callie

Lena: Halley said that she was hit with a fist in the head

doctor: okay, we are going to keep her sedated for a few days to help her brain heal again

Callie: do you think there is damage?

Doctor: we won't know until she wakes up, she is being moved back to her room you will all be able to go in 2 at a time to visit with her

Lena: thank you doctor

Steph: Callie are you ok love?

Callie: yes, how are we going to tell Halley, she was afraid something like this would happen

Lena: we will tell her the truth and be their to help her through it

we walked back to the waiting room where everyone was sitting Halley stood up as soon as she saw us
