Chapter 8

Hayden's POV

I have been able to hear everyone for the past 2 days and I knew that Callie hasn't left my side since I came to the hospital, I tried really hard to open my eyes but it was hard. I kept trying and I was finally able to open my eyes but I couldn't talk because of the breathing tube. I moved my arm and Callie jump up and was by my side quickly

Callie: mom she's awake

Steph: I'll go get a dr

Callie: Hey Hayden, I'm right here, Steph went to go get the dr

Dr: well good morning Hayden you have been asleep for a few days now, let's get that tube out so that you can talk, now when I say so I need you to cough for me 

The dr told me to cough and I did, he pulled the tube out and my throat felt dry

Hayden: can i have some water

Callie: here you go

Hayden: thank you

Dr: how are you feeling Hayden?

Hayden: my head really hurts

Dr: ok we will get you some pain meds

Hayden: thank you

Steph: would it be ok if the rest of the family comes 

Dr: yes, just make sure that she isn't doing to much she still needs to rest as much as she can

Steph: Okay, thank you Dr

Dr: someone will be in with your pain meds

Hayden: thank you

Steph: Hayden are you okay if I call Lena and have her bring the others up?

Hayden: yeah

Steph: okay I'll be right back

Steph went out to call Lena and Callie moved closer to me

Callie: I'm right here baby

Hayden: I'm sorry

Callie: why are you sorry

Hayden: for causing all of this

Callie: Hayden you didn't cause anything

Hayden: is Halley ok?

Callie: she is, mama took her home with everyone else

Hayden: how long was I asleep?

Callie: two days

Hayden: and you stayed the whole time

Callie: I wasn't going to leave you again

Hayden: I love you Callie

Callie: I love you too Hayden

Nurse: Well hello Hayden, it's nice to see that you are awake

Hayden: what time is it?

Nurse: its 7pm

Hayden: I'm still really tired

Nurse: that's normal, I have some pain meds for you, Dr want's to have you try to take pills and see how you do okay?

Hayden: okay thank you

Nurse: you are welcome, hit your call button if you need anything else 

Hayden: okay

I took the pills and my nurse left, shortly after Steph came back in Lena and everyone else came

Halley's POV

We had all been outside playing basketball when Lena came out and told us that Hayden was awake, we all go into the car and made our way to the hospital, I couldn't wait to see Hayden and get to talk to her. When we got to the hospital I couldn't help but run into her room

Halley: HAYDEN!!!!!!!

Callie: whoa slow down there Halley

Steph: Hayden can't move that fast yet

Halley: I'm sorry Hayden

Hayden: it's ok Halley

Halley: I've missed you

Hayden: I've missed you too, What have you been doing?

Halley: I have been playing basketball with Jesus and Jude

Jesus: and she's really good

Jude: and fast

Brandon: She is defently related to you Callie

Callie: why what did she do

Lena: she's sneaky 

Steph: how so?

Lena: Jesus was playing a video game with Halley and she paused the game to go get a drink, while he was gone Halley unplugged his remote control

Halley: and that's how I beat Jesus at a video game

Hayden: I should have told you she does stuff like that

Marianna: It was nice to see Jesus be pranked

Jesus: your so nice

Halley: when do you get to leave the hospital?

Steph: the doctor said she can come home tomorrow

Halley: yay!!!!

Lena: Hayden there is something Steph and I want to ask you

Hayden: ok

Steph: we have already talked to Halley about this but Lena and I would like to know if it is okay if we adopt you and Halley

Hayden: really?

Lena: yes, Bill said that if we can get Donald to sign over his rights to both of you then we can adopt you girls

Callie: how does that make you fell Hayden

Hayden: happy, I haven't felt safe in a foster home until we came here and I don't want to lose either of you

Steph: we don't want to lose you or Halley either

Nurse: alright everyone visiting hours are over so that means all but 2 of you need to leave

Lena: I'll stay here with Hayden and Callie tonight

Steph: are you sure?

Lena: yes, It will give us both some time to get to know our daughters

After we all said our goodbyes we went to Steph's car and got in, she took us to pizza hut for dinner, I enjoyed getting to spend time with Steph. When we got home I went into Marianna's room with her and fell asleep in her bed
