Hi guys! Regarding my previous message about my exams, I think I will still be publishing chapters during my exam season because I genuinely enjoy writing this story and I'm dying for you all to know how the story goes 😭

So here you go, enjoy! Don't forget to vote and comment!

...
"What are you doing here?" I questioned, standing awkwardly as the blue-haired boy stood at the edge of the mushroom, shooting me a confused look.

"I can ask you same thing," Eli said coolly as he crossed his arms in front of his chest. "Was that why you brought me out in the middle of nowhere?"

I gulped as my gaze dropped to the ground, unable to meet his eyes. I nodded softly and bit my bottom lip.

"Mia made me do it. Don't blame me-"

"And you did it, unwillingly," Eli commented as he walked towards me. He lifted my head up softly with a finger under my chin, making my eyes met his once again.

"Why did you ran off?" he asked. HIs seriousness was killing me.

"Uh... I..." I paused. "I don't know."

"You like me too, don't you?"

He pasted that stupid yet hot signature smirk of his on his face and I shot him a weird look.

"Go away, Eli. I'm not in the mood to talk to you right now," I said, pushing him away by his chest. "You already have a girlfriend, don't talk to other girls like that again, or else I'm telling Mia."

"Never knew you're that stingy," he said, sending a soft punch at my right shoulder before he walked past me towards the other end of the mushroom tree. "And may I ask, since when do I have a girlfriend?"

I turned to look at him, utterly confused. "What do you mean you don't have a girlfriend?"

His muscular back was facing me when he turned his face to the side. His jawline was so sharp that it could cut through the thick air surrounding us. His gaze fell onto the ground at his side.

"I never say yes," he whispered, before he turned back and walked towards the edge of the glowing plantation. He sat down near the edge and crossed his legs.

Without myself knowing, excitement bubbled inside me as I unknowingly let out a huge grin. I walked towards him and sat right next to him.

"How did you know I'm here?" I questioned him. His gaze left the beautiful scenery of the gleaming forest that laid in front of us to look at me.

"I didn't know you were here," he said, smiling as he uncrossed his legs, hanging them over the edge in midair while his lean arms supported his leaning body by resting onto the ground behind him.

"I'm the only one from the Shane Gang who knows about this place, and this is where I opt to go to whenever I want to clear my mind or just to have some time alone," Eli explained and I nodded. "Now that you too found out about this place, I guess I can't say the same thing anymore."

I chuckled and imitated Eli's posture, allowing my legs to hang over the edge of the mushroom freely as I took the time to take in the stunning view before us. Vein-like tree trunks stood mightily in the woodland, each holding up to an enormous, bioluminescence mushroom head, enlightening their surroundings. Little blinking bushes vanquished the ground, their radiance adding to the richness of the majestic forest. A few slugs were seen exploring the area, chirping and giggling carefreely. It was like a perfect art piece; not just any piece of work, but the most beautiful creation of the universe.

"Why did you cry?"

My head turned towards him in haste. On the other hand, he just glanced at me casually.
