the next day we were actually sitting in 'goodness 101' and as fairy godmother droned on and on i sketched three different drawings

after awhile i decided to tune into the lesson as she pointed to the board with a stick "if someone hands you a crying baby, do you, A, curse it? B, lock it in a tower? C, give it a bottle? Or D, carve out its heart?" she asked us and evie raised her hand from next to me "Evie."

"What was the second one?" she asked and i sighed leaning over "It's on the board honey." i told her and she let out an 'ohh' reading the options

"Oh, okay. Anyone else? Jayla?" she asked me and i sighed "C, give it a bottle." i answered easily and she smiled "Correct. Again."

"You are on fire, girl!" carlos told me and i smiled shaking my head "Just pick the boring one." i told them with a shrug making them all realize

"That makes so much sense."

the doors opened and fairy godmothers daughter ( i'm pretty sure ) walked in looking get nervous as she passed the five of us "Oh. Hello, dear one. Hi. You need to sign off on early dismissal for the coronation. Everyone here remembers my daughter, Jane?" she turned to us making jane shush her

"Mom, no!" "It's okay. Jane, this is everyone." she said and her looked at her as she turned to us scared

"Hi. That's okay, don't mind me. As you were." she said and as she turned back to her mom as the four leaned over to me

"So what you got?" jay asked and i sighed "Shy, little to no friends, insecure, easy to manipulate. You got that mal?" i asked and she thought before nodding "Yep now I got a plan." she said

i'm really good with reading people it's a very helpful skill if you ask my and my friends

"Let's continue." she told us as jane left "You find a vial of poison. Do you, A, put it in the king's wine? B, paint it on an apple? Or C, turn it over to the proper authorities?" she asked

jay and carlos both raised their hands to answer and they both started to wrestle to answer the question "Jay."

"C. You turn it over to the proper authorities." he said easily with a shrug and carlos huffed "I was gonna say that."

"But I said it first. Come here!" jay mocked as they started to wrestle again ending up on the table with jay over carlos "Boys. Boys! I am gonna encourage you to use that energy on the tourney field." she told them as i went back to sketching

"Oh, no. That's okay. Whatever that is, We'll... We'll pass." carlos said as they got off the table as class ended

as i packed up my stuff fairy godmother came up
to me picking up my papers "And I suggest you take this to the art room." she told me and i waved her off standing up

"Appreciate it, but i'm not that good." i told her and she looked at me like i was crazy "What are you kidding me? This is amazing I'll enroll you in the class." she said and when i went to open my mouth she walked away with my sketches

"Uh- i ok and your already gone." i said and walked out the class to see carlos waiting "Hey Jayla." he called and i smiled "Sup Carlos." i said as he walked with me

we walked in silence before it hit me "Oh!" i yelled making him jump "Sorry, but what were you gonna ask me in the museum?" i asked and he smiled "Oh well I was just wondering if you maybe wanted to, I don't know, gonna on a date soon before we you know take over the world?" he asked making me smile

"Sure, Carlos. Warning Jay might kill you." i said and chuckle "He doesn't have to know." he told me and i agreed as we continued to walk and talk

carlos walked me to the dorms and i walked in with a smile and i seen evie mal and jane sitting there talking "Hey guys." i said with my smile very present

"Ohh what's got you in a smiley mood?" evie perked up "Oh nothing nothing just.." i couldn't even finish my sentence as i just let out a breath and fell backwards on my bed in awe

"Is it Carlos." evie and mal said together and i sat up so fast seeing there smirks and jane starred confused "Wha- how. Why you say that?" i asked and they smiled

"Oh come on we see the way you look at each other when the other isn't looking." evie said in a duh tone "Don't think we didn't see you guys holding hands when we left the- the dorms." mal said changing her sentence remembering jane's presence

"That's because he was still behind so i grabbed him to catch up." i said and they scoffed making me throw pillows at them

there was a knock on the door before i girl walked in "Hey, guys! I'm Lonnie." she said making the three of us stare "My mom's Mulan? No?" she said and we shook our heads "Anyways, I love what you've done with Jane's hair. And I know you hate us, and, well, you're evil. But do you think you could do mine?" she asked mal as she wrote in a book

"Why would I do that for you?" she asked her "I'll pay you 50 dollars." she said pulling the money out and evie grabbed it "Good answer. I need to buy more material. Let's see, I'm thinking, we lose the bangs, maybe some layers and some highlights." evie said suggesting and she shook her head

"Yeah, yeah. I want it cool. Like Mal's or Jaylas." she making me raise a brow "Really?" we asked "The split ends, too?" evie asked and i glared "Shut up."

mal sighed and sat up opening her spell book and flipping threw pages "Okay... "Beware, forswear, replace the old with cool hair." she said whipping her hair back and forth before her hair grew at the same length as mine

she looked at herself in the mirror with a smile "I know. I know. It looks like a mop on your head. You know what? Let's cut it off, layer it..."

"No, no, no! I love it." lonnie cut her of "You do?" evie asked tilting her head "It's just... " lonnie trialed off before ripping the bottom of her dress

"Now I'm cool." she said as my jaw dropped with a smile "Like ice." mal agreed and jane looked at herself in the mirror

mal had done the same thing to janes hair so she'd get information about the wand

jane then did the same before gasping "What did I just do? Mom's gonna kill me!" she panicked making us chuckle
