Nana's POV

Recently, Gojo sensei entrusted Yuji's training on a mission to his dear friend and kohai, Kento Nanami, an ex-salaryman and a Grade-1 sorcerer. And after getting introduced to each other, both Yuji and Nanami went on this mission to investigate the uncanny deaths of three high school students at a movie theater. One of their prime suspects was a boy named Junpei Yoshino, who coincidentally also went to the same high school as those three dead students.

Later, Nanami finally was able to track down the curse that was behind the murder of those students, so today he went after that curse in order to exorcise them. On the other hand, he called me and requested me to join Yuji and Ijichi to track down their prime suspect Junpei and interrogate him about the very incident that happened back in the movie theater.

Right now, Yuji and I were in the backseat of a car with Ijichi driving it as we slowly drove behind Junpei and followed him into a residential area. We learned that this was the area where Junpei lived with his mother.

"There he is..." Ijichi mumbled, pointing at Junpei who walking quietly walking down the side of the street.

"Huh? Casual clothes?" Yuji asked.

"It looks like he hasn't attended school for some time." I replied.

"The same could be said for me though. So are the others doing well, Nana?" Yuji asked, looking over at me.

"They are doing very well." I replied with a warm smile. "They miss you though, a lot."

This made Yuji flash out a wide smile back at me.

"I see..." he muttered before looking over at Ijichi. "So what do we do?"

"We use that." Ijichi responded, pointing at a small cage on the passenger's seat.

The cage contained two small cursed spirits in them.

"Huh? Is that a cursed spirit?" Yuji asked.

"It's a Flying Head, a low-level curse that doesn't even qualify as Grade-4." I explained.

"Once we reach a place with no people, we will have it attack him." Ijichi stated.

"Huh?!" Yuji gasped out in shock.

"One: If Junpei Yoshino is a normal person who can't perceive curses, please save him. Two: If he can perceive it, but has no means to deal with it, likewise, please save him. Then we'll question him about the day of the incident. Three: If he exorcises the fly head with jujutsu... we immediately restrain him." Ijichi explained the whole plan to us.

"By force?" Yuji asked hesitantly.

"By force. If it's a misunderstanding, that's fine. We'll apologize after the fact. However... Four: If he possesses potential equal to or greater than a Grade-2 sorcerer, we retreat and meet back up with Nanami-san." Ijichi added.

"I think I can just barely handle a Grade-2. Besides, Nana is also with me and she's a Grade-2 herself." Yuji stated.

"If this were a cursed spirit, yes." Ijichi muttered.

"Huh?" Yuji asked in confusion, tilting his head to the side.

"I mentioned it on the day we went to that detention center, remember? Typically, cursed spirits are assigned to sorcerers of equal grades. That means a Grade-2 sorcerer would be expected to beat Grade-2 cursed spirits. So, a Grade-2 sorcerer possesses strength close to a Grade-1 cursed spirit." I explained.

"Why wasn't I ever told something that important?" Yuji groaned in frustration.

"Because Gojo sensei is so irresponsible." I sighed and looked back at Ijichi. "And don't worry, Ijichi-san. I'm capable enough to handle a Grade-2 sorcerer myself and if that Junpei guy turns out to be higher than that, then we'll get help from Nanami-san."
