Chapter 3- Almost got caught

"You look... beautiful today" He said and for the first time, my heart fluttered. I hate saying this but... my cold as ice boss just gave me butterflies by saying a single sentence... without stuttering or in his usual cold tone

"Thank-k you, Mr. Kim-m" I mentally slapped myself for stuttering

"It's pretty late. Let me drop you home, no buts!" He interrupted me before I could say anything

[Time skip: In front of my house]

"Mr. Kim, thanks for the ride" I said unbuckling my seatbelt

"Yeah, no problem. I know you watch a lot of Korean dramas and you must be wondering if I'm lying just because I want your help then that's not it. I meant what I said earlier" He spoke out of nowhere. 

"Are you drunk? Did you drink alcohol pretending it was water?!" I asked quiet shocked

"What! No! Why would I even do that?" He replied with raised eyebrows

"No, it's quiet surprising and... weird hearing such words from your mouth but..." I hesitated 

"But....?" You gave me butterflies for the first time, I thought

"Nothing, I'll get going. Good night Mr. Kim" I said getting off the car

"Good night, Secretary Y/n!" I heard him yell from the car but I didn't bother to reply. Entering my house, I ignored my dad's and Jimin's questions and went straight to my room

"What is happening to me?" I said touching my cheeks

[Meanwhile: Taehyung in his car]

"Why the fuck did I even say something like that to her? I made her uncomfortable didn't I? Was I on drugs or something at that time!? But... it felt good though" Taehyung thought before driving off to his house

[Next afternoon]

"Mr. Kim, Can I leave early today?" I asked hoping he would agree

"And what's the reason?" He asked busy on his laptop

"My dad called me up saying it's an emergency and I need to come home" I replied

"Since you haven't taken any leave in 2 years, I'm allowing you" He replied

"Really!? I mean... thank you, sir" I said and left his cabin

[Time skip: My house]

Reaching my neighborhood, I noticed something unusual. There was a black car in front of my house and guards by my house. What exactly is the matter!?

"Dad!? Jimin!? Where are you guys!?" I yelled entering my house

"We are here in the living room" I heard my dad yell as I let out a sigh of relief. Walking towards the living room, I found my dad and Jimin sitting with a... lady? 

"Y/n, you are here" She said and came forward to hug me

"Mrs. Kim?" I was shocked to see her here

"Yes, honey. I came to meet your dad and brother" She replied sweetly

"But why?"

"I know you didn't tell them that you're dating Taehyung" She said as my eyes widened and so did my dad's and Jimin's

"YOU ARE DOING WHAT!?" Both of them yelled together and I knew.... I fucked up!

"Dad, I'll explain everything, but before that I'll make a call" With that I ran from the living room towards my room. Closing the door, I quickly dialed Mr. Kim's number

"Yes, Secretary Y/n? Everything okay?" He spoke

"No, nothing is okay! Your mom is here to talk with my dad about us dating!" I almost yelled

"SHE DID WHAT!?" He yelled from other side

"Mr. Kim... please do something. It is getting more complicated" I said breathing heavily

"Secretary Y/n... calm down... I'll be there in some time" With that he disconnected the call while I kept thinking about a way to avoid them till Mr. Kim comes. Ruffling my hairs, taking a deep breathe, I stepped outside and joined the others in the living room

"Now... I want you to explain everything!" My dad said with a serious tone

"I will once Mr. Kim comes..." I replied

"Oh? Taehyung is also coming?" Mrs. Kim asked as I nodded lightly

It's been an hour since I've been waiting from him and he isn't here. My dad has been passing me glares while Mrs. Kim kept talking about Mr. Kim's childhood. Soon, the door flung open revealing Mr. Kim on the door

"Oh son, you're here! Why are you late?" Mrs. Kim asked quiet concerned looking at her son who looked like he had just ran a marathon and lost it

"I'm suing the traffic department! I've been in the traffic for almost an hour!" Taehyung almost yelled

"Son, calm down" Mrs. Kim calmed him down

"What are you doing here mom?" Mr. Kim asked

"Me? I'm here to meet my daughter in laws family" She replied sweetly as my dad and Jimin choked on their drinks

"Daughter in law!?" My dad yelled

"Dad, calm down" I said trying to calm him down

"What calm down!? You became their daughter in law and we didn't even know!?" He whisper yelled as I looked over to Jimin who was trying not to laugh

"Sir, let them tell you everything" Mrs. Kim insisted while me and Mr. Kim looked at each other wondering what to do

"So how long have you been dating?" My dad asked

"4 months" "2 months" We replied together 

"2 months" "4 months" We again replied and we fucked up this time for sure!

"Think of an excuse, Mr. Kim" I whispered giving his hand a light squeeze as he nodded

"4+2= 6 months! We've dating for 6 months!" He replied as I sighed in relief

"Okay, do you love my daughter? Will you always take care of her?" My dad asked as I looked over Mr. Kim who was looking at my dad. What excuse will he come up this time?

"Yes sir, I love your daughter a lot. She completes me, without her I feel like something is missing. She managed to win my heart over these years and I'm madly in love with her. I can do things I've never done just for her. I can drink coffee just for her. I can eat spicy food just for her. I'm willing to shower her with love and care. I truly love her" Mr. Kim replied softly. I wished everything he said wasn't an excuse but truth hurts

"I trust you son" My dad replied

"Then it is fixed!" Mrs. Kim shouted in happiness

"What is fixed?" Me and Mr. Kim asked together

"Your marriage...."
