-Chapter 8-

I ran towards the cinema in Highpoint. I'm seriously late, seriously late.

The bus had come late and not just that but there was an accident and the bus had to take the long root.

I was just plain unlucky. What can I say?

I can only blame myself for not getting up earlier.

2:14pm.

I am forty four minutes late.

There was a chance he might be still waiting for me.

I know it's selfish of me but I hope he's still there, I prayed.

I looked around the cinema.

Again.

Again.

And again.

He wasn't anywhere.

I laughed. What was I thinking? To think that someone would wait for me for forty four minutes. This wasn't some romantic clique.

What should I do now?

Home? No, that would mean I came here for nothing.

Should I call him? Will he pick up? Is he angry because I didn't make it?

I took my phone out of my bag. Alexander had messaged me while I was in the bus. I must have been too stressed out and didn't hear the ring.

Alexander: Hey. I hope you have a good time and remember I'll always be here for you.

I couldn't help but smile, it was so sweet. My eyes began to tear up. Why am I getting so emotional?

With shaking hands I typed back to him.

Mikasa: Thank you, I appreciate it lots.

I know better than to tell him I actually didn't go watch a movie.

Suddenly my phone rang making me jump. It was Alexander. Why was he calling me?

I know I shouldn't pick up but it would be weird because I just messaged him a second ago.

So I picked up.

'Hi,' I said weakly, trying not to sound croaky because I was just tearing up a minute ago.
