The sun was still set when Aizawa heard a sudden shuffle. Lifting his head, and rubbing at his sore neck, which had grown stiff after sleeping in a chair for the past few days. Turning towards the girl's bed he could see that she was already watching him, chest heaving

"Are you okay kid" he asked, voice raspy as he shifted to sit up straighter. His spot that newly took beside the bed shifted back to the door while the child rested

"Bad" she whimpered quietly, bringing the blankets, which were simply sheets up to her neck

"Bad dream" he hummed and watched the child curl up, flipping onto her side to face him. "Do you want some water?" he asked and a sudden realization bubbled up into his mind. Ever since she had woken up 2 days ago he couldn't recall giving her anything to eat or drink. He began to wonder how he had forgotten to give her the bare necessities

She was fed through a drip when she was passed out, recovering from using her quirk in the battle with Overhaul. "W-water" the child whispered before rubbing her face into the pillow "yes" she spoke, voice muffled

"I'll go get you a glass then" Aizawa offered, groaning as he got up from his seat. He reached for the door only to hear a 'no'

The teacher turned back around to look at the girl who shouted. "What's wrong?"

"No go" she demanded, squirming out from her blankets and off the bed. Recoiling from the touch of cool tile against her bare feet, but she padded towards him anyways. Stopping a few paces away she clutched the hem of her dress. When she was admitted into the hospital they had rid her of the tattered brown potato sack of apparel and replaced it with a light blue one

"I can't get you water if I don't leave" he tried to reason but the child was firm in her decision, shaking her head with vigor

"Stay, no water"

"You haven't had anything since the moment you've woken up"

"No, stay" she stood strong and Aizawa had begun to wonder if she really was the same timid child from pretty much only a day or two ago who had screamed for him to leave. How much trust was placed into him after the villain attack he wondered

In all actuality the child didn't know if he could trust him or not, she just didn't want him to leave because the last time he had left the room pain ensued in his absence. The moment Aizawa had left villains had arrived and that time of fear lingered in the depths of her mind

The girl quickly caught on that whether or not this man was a danger, he wasn't going to place her in immediate danger, and if he does have some affiliation with those who attacked her they wouldn't show up if he was with her

He was her shield and even if that shield may turn to stab her, as long as he protected her for the time being she wouldn't let him go

"Sweetheart please, aren't you dehydrated" he asked and the girl just stared at him, brows slightly furrowed. Sighing in defeat he wandered back into his chair, slumping into his seat. He could feel the child's eyes on him, staring before clambering back onto her bed. "If you don't want me to leave, do you want me to call someone to bring you water?" he asked and the child continued to eye him
