Perched atop the mattress of her bed, the blonde hero and the girl sat side by side, flipping through a picture book

"Then I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house down" Mirio cackled, putting on a deep booming voice and the child curled into him as she stared at the image of the wood made house topple to the ground, leaving the pig and his brother who fled from his home made of straw to stay with the pig whose house was now crumpled into mere sticks

"The two little pigs are very frightened and they run all the way to the third little pig's house" the blonde said in his most neutral narrator voice, watching from the corner of his eye the small kid writhe in anticipation

"Little pigs, little pigs let me in" he threatened in his wolfish voice watching the girl jump as he read the next lines, looking down at her to say the repeated sentences

"N-not by the h-hairs..." she whispered out as she slowly trailed off, forgetting the words

"on our chinny chin chins" Mirio urged, putting on a nasally voice causing the girl to squirm, laughter not bubbling but her joy emanated despite her stale face

"We will not let you in" the child remembered, saying the words along with Mirio as he laughed in glee as he prepared for his famous line

"Then I'll huff, and I'll puff" he paused, waited for dramatic impact "and I'll blow your house down!" he declared and the (h/c) haired child watched as Mirio puffed out his chest and mimicked himself as the devious wolf blowing out air to topple the house yet as the blonde flipped the page the brick house still stayed standing

"Oh" the child gasped, finger pointing to the image, "no go, no go" she exclaimed, turning up to look at the hero

"Yes, it didn't fall" he chuckled "the wolf huffs and he puffs and he huffs and he puffs but he cannot blow the house down" the man quotes the book, sounding defeated as he watched the child be enchanted by his re-telling of the tale

Quickly he finished off the tale, showing the images of the wolf clambering up the house to slip down the brick roofed houses chimney only to land in a fire and burn his bum

"Ouch oww oww" Mirio hisses with laughter "says the big bad wolf"

"bad wolf" the girl whispers next to him down the the toy in her arms, holding a chastising index finger up, shaking it in disapproval towards her cat plush, telepathically explaining her disdain for the creature to her plush

"He jumps up and runs away. He never comes back again" the boy says in mock relief

"The little pigs live happily ever after, in the little house made of bricks" he finishes

"Yay" the child cheers, staring at the last image of the pigs cozy in the brick home while the wolf distantly runs off into the sunset, leaving a slight trail of smoke in his wake from his scorched butt

"Yay!" Mirio exclaims louder, throwing up his hands as he shakes, the child moving along due to leaning against him but her happy screams indicated she was pleased rather than disturbed
