Lena's: POV
After returning back to the hotel Stef and I went into out suite for a little bit l gave some space to gather her thoughts. The nerve of her father to embarrassed her like that, l always respected him but he was total ass
Who the hell does he think he is to tell her what to do with her life. I'm glad she won't be on the street as much
Stef barely said anything on the drive back, all she wanted for him to be proud of her accomplishments. I feel bad Francesca having to witness her Grandpa's harsh behavior towards her mother at dinner, l'm not even sure if Stef's gonna wanna go to the anniversary party tomorrow evening. I don't blame her, but she promised her mother she'll swing by for a little while, I went down to Francesca's room. I knocked on the door come in Francesca's said, l enter inside to see she changed into some sweats and a hoodie. Mommy why grandpa say those things to mom at dinner this evening can't he just be happy for mom instead of trying to control everything that has nothing to do with him Francesca said. I think your grandfather wants your mom to be like him, and he's upset she did something just for her and didn't seek his approval about it Lena explains. I'll gonna take mom downstairs for a while, why don't you go next store and talk to your aunt Alex who your angry with l think it's time for you to stop holding this grudge and talk to her Lena tell her daughter. I guess your right mommy Francesca said as she hugs her mommy,
She slips her slippers and leaves out the hotel room
Lena went out on the patio and see Stef staring ahead
I take a seat beside Stef not saying a word. I'm sorry love for what my dad said to you during dinner Stef states,
It's okay you don't have to do everything he tells, your a grown ass woman who doesn't need his permission to do what he wants with your life Lena tells her wife
I know baby how bout we head downstairs to the bar and have a drink l  sure could use one after tonight's fiasco
Lena said. What about Francesca don't worry l sent her down to your sister suite l think they need to talk
Lena Stated. Alright let's go have a couple of drinks
Stef replies as both women got up from their seats
to head to the bar, Stef grabbed the key card from off the night stand leaving her cell phone on the charger.
They leave there hotel room and walked down the hallway towards the elevators, and got on taking it down to the first floor. Once we made it down to the lounge
We went inside and there were a few people sitting at the bar watching the NBA playoffs on the big flat screen TV
Stef and I headed over to the booth and took our seats
I picked up the menu to see what kind of achoal beverages
Babe l think l'm going to with the mild buffalo wings, and the cranberry vodka. What are you gonna get Lena asked her wife, l probably get a rum and coke with some nachos and cheese Stef says. The waitress came over to their table
Stef ordered for us, Lena was content to see Stef relax since leaving her parents house. Lena didn't wanna ask Stef was she still going to the anniversary dinner party tomorrow evening. The waitress brings over drinks
I took a sip of my drink, it was a little strong but I wasn't going to complain about it. Stef was looking at the game
I wonder how Francesca's making out with Alex, l hope they patch things up. Because Francesca was really hurt that Alex stopped coming around, we need to find a nice woman for my sister she's been single for to long l know that breakup with her ex girlfriend really broke her, Stef States.
I don't know if we should infer in her personal life honey
Lena said. She needs to put herself back out again
I'm sure there's someone out there, what about your colleague from the University the one you introduce me to a few weeks ago Stef says to Lena. Olivia seems is private person, l can invite her over to the house for dinner
But how are we going to convince Alex to come over
