I Shall Serve Him
To know the true God
And of the love
That He has for us
Is what keeps me strong.
Truly, there is no better friend
Than the Father in heaven;
It is He alone in Whom we should trust,
In order to carry on.
When I am grieving,
I remember Him; the pain is eased;
I call upon His Name
To make known all of my complaints.
Because of His love for me,
I have been able to surpass
All of my hardships and tragedies,
Which I once thought would forever last.
And out of gratitude
For the truth
That He has shown me,
I shall serve Him for all eternity.
