Until Our Race We Will Have Won

Not everything that we desire

Is meant to take place;

This is a part of life:

Betrayal, false hopes, and pain.

Though we must keep in mind

That the plans of the Most High

Are better than ours;

At unexpected moments, we will witness His power.

And we must never allow anything

That brings us pain or sorrow

To deter us from doing

God's work; in Him let us place our hope.

If we continue to persevere,

In spite of our doubts and fears,

The Lord will deliver us

And strengthen us until our race we will have won.
