Kabir had been reading the newspaper along with morning coffee. The news article catches his attention. He fumes in anger and scrumbs the paper. He throws it away and hits his hand on the railing of the balcony.
He heads inside freshens up and wears his uniform. He gets downstairs sits inside the jeep and heads towards the Kapoor Mansion. He reaches in half an hour and walks straight into the hall calling out "Mrs. Kapoor!" his voice was filled with anger.
Nandini steps downstairs hearing his voice. She asked with curiosity "kuch pata chala?"
"aapne news mein koi interview diya tha?" he questioned her.
Nandini shook her head in yes " haan"
"lekin kyun?? Aap janti ho aapke iss interview ke wajah se aapki beti ke lapata hone ka shaq mujhpe aaya hai!!" he said
Nandini was shocked hearing him "nahi kabir beta maine tumhara naam nahi liya sach mein" she defends herself.
He walks closer to her and looks straight in her eyes "mana ki aapki beti se meri bahut zyda ann bann hai lekin yeh matlab nahi ki main uska dushman hun! Dushman aapki beti mujhe samajhti aayi hai aur jaane kaha kaha usne dushmani paalke rakhi hai.. Behtar hoga aap apne pati ka khayal rakhe aur mujhe mera kaam karne de"
Nandini gets tears in her eyes. Kabir left from there and heads straight to police station. Nandini turns on the news channel.
"sunne mein aaya hai ki Manvi Kapoor ke missing case ko lead kar rahe inspector se unki dushmani thi! Kya inspector kabir unhe dundh rahe hai ya yuhi hum sabko gumrah kar rahe hai??" the reporter announced.
Nandini thought "maine toh Kabir ka koi zikar kiya hi nahi tha.. Kahin kabir iss case se peeche na hatt jaaye"
Kabir reaches police station and the media surrounds him with bullets of questions. He avoids them and heads inside signalling the team to throw them out.
Kabir closed his eyes for a moment and took a deep breath. Shinde salutes him "Sir"
Kabir eyed him "bolo Shinde any lead?"
"aapne jaise kaha tha maine har ek employee se baat ki hai aur maine records bhi check kiye hai! kuch nayi deals aur projects unhone haath mein liye they recently aur agar jald se jald unhe koi action plan submit nahi kiya toh company unke haath se jaa sakti" he informed.
Kabir was shocked hearing him. "what???" he snatched the file from his hand and reads it carefully.
"Aur Manvi ke gayab hone se company aise hai jaise praja bin raja... Mr. Kapoor bhi iss state mein nahi hai ki company sambhal sake.. My god!! Iska matlab yeh hai ki agar jald hi Manvi ko nahi dundha toh.." Kabir sighed deeply.
"yeh deals kisse hui thi! Turant unhe yahan bulao.." Kabir informed. Shinde nodded and left.
Kabir opens the drawer and takes out a photo. He caressed the two figures and remembered the past.
"main apna faisla nahi badalne waala hun"
"thik hai jayie main sambhal lungi sab kuch zaroorat nahi hai aapki mujhe! Dubara lautke mat aana idhar" she shouted and pushes him out of the house closing the door on his face.
Kabir comes out of trance of his thoughts "ziddi toh itni ho ki kisi sunti nahi.. Main bhi tumhara hi bhai hun bitto tumhe dundhke hi rahunga" he smiles with pain and places back the photo inside the drawer.
The commissioner enters the police station and Kabir salutes him. Along with him was a new police officer 'sir yeh"
"yeh hai Inspector Kamad ab se yeh Manvi Kapoor ka case handle karenge" he informed.
