And maiden deemed he far away
To keep his crown would need to stay.But both forbidden love possessed
That put their iron wills to test
Until at last the dancer moved
As prince's will the girl behooved.But Salim's father Akbar saw
His son defy the Mughal law
And many trials covert deigned
To have that dancer swift defamed.But every one the girl with haste
Sidestepped with ease along with grace
And Salim's anger grew to see
