After getting his bag packed, he went down stairs to tell his mum he was only coming back later to get the rest of his stuff. I heard his loud footsteps coming up the stairs,

"She didn't even hug me goodbye" he moaned as he flopped down on to his bed, making it shake and hit the wall,

"Well, ready to go pick out our future apartment?" he asked me, finally it hit me I'm nineteen years old, engaged, and going to pick out my new house with my fiancé. No big deal,

"Let's go, love!" I agreed, I picked up two of his many, many bags and we headed down stairs. When we got to the door Ethan stopped,

"Good bye mum" he yelled, it echoed in the house with no reply.

"Hello Ethan, it is such a pleasure to finally meet you. Ive been chatting with your mum the past few weeks about some apartments for you. I see you have gotten engaged! Congratulations you two. Will we need to look at an apartment with more rooms?" She asked winking at me,

"Oh, no ma'am. We are not expecting, just trying to get our lives started young." I smiled back at her, she just raised her eyebrows in reply. She made her way to the first apartment door,

"This one will be perfect for your, err, price range" the realtor said as she showed us the tiny flat,

"We'll take a look around and meet you back here" Ethan said with a big smile on his face, this one is the one I can feel it. It was a little apartment right in the middle of town, when you first walk in you can see the big living room, as you walk around the corner you see the dining room and kitchen combined. Off the kitchen are two rooms and two bathrooms, this house was perfect for us. We walked into the master bedroom,

"This room is perfect, Ethan" I looked around at the tall, light blue walls and the large, empty, tan shag carpet,

"You want this one, princess?" he asked as he came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist, he rested his chin on my shoulder,

"Yes, I am in love!" I replied back, kissing him softly oh his cheek.

We met the relator at the front door, signed the papers, and got our key.

"Ill be sending your mum the first bill. She said she would take care of the first year, she called it the graduation present for you." she smiled at us before shaking our hands, "Welcome home you two, feel free to call anytime and ask questions if you have some."

"Ethan check out the bathroom it's huge" I yelled from the spacious room,

"Check out the other two rooms down here" I heard him holler at me, we had just signed on the house that night and as soon as we got the keys and the lady left we closed the door and began to explore,

"We should head back to my place, Alice's boyfriend Jack is there with his truck. He could help us move all your furniture and boxes from your mums house" I suggested, the house came with some furniture that was left behind by the family that owned the house last. Our realtor said that the family had to leave town short notice, nobody knows why but they left and nobody heard from them again.

"Thanks Jack, I owe you big time!" Ethan thanked him shaking his hand,

"You're welcome mate, and lemme know when that big wedding of yours is!" Ethan laughed at his comment,

"Not sure when it'll be, Marie's step dad is really sick right now, but we will be married before year 12 is over" after he finished that sentence he gave Jack a signal saying it was time to end the conversation. He walked up to meet me on the front porch wrapping one arm wound my waist softly and the other one he used to wave goodbye to Jack,

"You should probably get going soon, Alice would kill me if I kept you another night" he grabbed my keys out of his pocket as we walked to my car. "Even though I want you to stay the first night so damn badly" he kissed my forehead and let out a sigh, his mum wouldn't even look at him or talk to him when we went by the house tonight. She has kicked him out and let him back in so many times and this was her last straw I guess,

"Really if you think about it your mum is overreacting, she made you move out, won't talk to you, and buy a house all in one day just because I stayed over? We told her we aren't doing anything like that until we are married." I said rolling my eyes,

"My little preachers daughter" he nudged me,

"I technically haven't been a preacher's daughter since my dad passed away" I corrected him, "but seriously, why did your mom get so mad?" I added looking up into his blue eyes that were sparkling so bright under the moon light,

"It's nothing" he tried to lie.
