I slid the unlock button on my phone, first person I see is Marie; our picture shining brightly on the screen before me. I run my fingers through my hair as I hear the bloody ring ringing though my head,
“Hello” she finally says, her voice is sweet like honey, soft as ever,
“Baby,” I say back, that’s all I can say, still in shock of my flash backs and remembering what a jerk I was to her,
“Ethan, are you okay?” she asks calmly,
“I’m fine, princess. I’ll be home in a lil bit, are you at Alice’s?” I ask waiting for her answer,
“Yes, no party for you?” she giggles her adorable little giggle,
“Not tonight, I just want to be with you,”
“I love you, Ethan,”
“I love you too, see you soon,” I hung up the phone just as the bus pulls up.
Maries P.O.V.
“I love you too, see you soon,” then he hung up,
“Who was that, Marie?” Alice asked,
“Ethan, he said he was coming home,” I replied still stunned it was him,
“I’m going to bed, love you!” Alice said in her always cheerful voice, she skipped out of the room and up the stairs. Is Ethan really coming home to see me? I asked myself as I collapsed onto the couch, ‘I'll just close my eyes for a second’ I slowly yawned, shutting my eyes and drifting off to sleep.
I soon felt muscular arms wrap around me,
“Hi baby,” he whispered,
“Hi,” I replied, he kissed me slowly and softly,
“I love you” he said in between kisses, then he kissed my nose,
“Go back to sleep, sweetheart,” he said as he rubbed my shoulder, I could hear his heart beat. He was so warm, his warmth, his kiss, he was breathing shallow,
“Why did you leave the party for me?” I asked slowly, he rolled over facing me, pulling me closer,
“You’re my world, I would give up anything to be with you. I only want to be with you, I remembered that night,” as he said that, I remembered that night, the night he yelled at me and told me how worthless I was. I looked down, but not for long. He slipped his hand under my chin and tilted it up towards him,
“You aren’t worthless, you are the most perfect girl I have ever met. From the moment I met you I knew you were the one, I can’t have you leave me ever again. I can’t take any risks, you are my everything,” he spoke firmly and he was certain. I kissed him, and then I fell asleep in his arms.
