Meeting the schemer

In the afternoon the sun was still shining brightly, as if welcoming Kai Yue Ling to earth it self.

When she woke up, her mind was still fuzzy and no memories new memories had entered.

She realised the water she asked for an hour ago was cold already , just as she was about to take a drink, a maid announced,

"Master Kai, and Da Xiao Jie, has arrived!"

Kai Yi Hu smiled on the outside but sneered on the inside, when she saw her sister in her bed, she wanted her to be asleep forever, too bad she didn't die. She approached her gently, but her gaze was full of malicious intent.

She asked, "Yue Mei, Are you hurt? Tell Jie Jie where it hurts and Jie Jie will definitely find an imperial doctor for you!"

Although her expression didn't seem to change the slightest, her gaze betrayed her inner emotions, and this was not unnoticed by Kai Yue Ling.

"No need sister, you are too kind it is just a small cold, nothing to worry about!" Kai Yue Ling smiled warmly at her white lotus flower sister.
Kai Yi Hu twitched her mouth slightly but kept a calm expression, "Sister understands."

After those words where said Master Kai entered.
When he did his eyes softened at the sight of his beautiful daughter lying there paler than snow.

He quickly rushed to his daughter and hugged her,

"My precious daughter! Are you alright? You are fine right? Oh please speak, Father will never let that happen again! You must be traumatised, here have a drink!"
He spoke fast with a warm but worried expression.

Kai Yue Ling took a sip of the cold water, before saying, "Father, Yue'er promises father to never trouble father again. Wish Father best of health, Yue'er thanks father for your concern."

He smiled warmly before suddenly his face became stiff.

When did his daughter grow so mature? This was definitely not her usual childish and naive behaviour?

Perhaps the trauma caused her to change? But this is good, at least Yue'er seems more grown up now.

However Kai Yi Hu did not recover as fast as her father, she asked bluntly, "Sister are you ok? You seem different almost like you have grown up, could this be..." before she finished she suddenly realised what she had just said and quickly covered her mouth,

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to say that! Mei Mei please forgive me!"
Tears started dripping from the corner of her eyes. Her face covered in tears as gentle as a lake and her eyes revealed her sadness and pity, truly this act was too good.

Kai Yue Ling swiftly held her sisters hands and said in a warm tone, "Sister of course I'm not angry at you! Jie Jie didn't mean to say what you did and anyways Mei Mei will never blame you!"

After she said that her father added angrily,

"What nonsense are you saying Hu Yi? Your sister is a kind and a caring Mei Mei, she would never blame you for something so  small as that, however next time watch your mouth, if it wasn't your sister, you wouldn't just receive a light scolding from me."

After he finished Kai Yi Hu was agreed to the brink of exploding, but she still kept her calm and innocent expression, so she calmly replied with, "daughter thanks father for your excellent advise, daughter will remember next time." After she finished she glanced at her father, but she saw him still gazing lovingly at Kai Yue Ling, she subconsciously clenched her fists in hatred.

Just then a maid called out,
"first Wife, Chu Yue Yi has  arrived!"

Suddenly everyone's head turned towards the silhouette walking in, including Kai Yue Ling.
