A false opportunity

"Kai Jiang Yi! Y-you, you actually dare to challenge someone from the heavens sect? They are all in the sky realm while you are just a puny earth realm to them! How have I taught you for these past years?" Kai Feng Li was enraged.

His son sat on the chair shivering, his body was filled with bruises, cuts and bandages. He looked like a person who just came out from a war.

"Father! I truly didn't know that they where from the heavens sect! Father your beloved Son wouldn't dare do that! If it wasn't for father neglecting mother to such a state, how could Jiang'er have the guts to challenge the heavens sect for medicine?!"

He deliberately pushed all the blame secretly to his father.

His mother was so miserable and unhealthy for these past days and his sister was just sent away, but even more a new favoured concubine was pregnant and receiving favour.

How could he not do anything for his mother after seeing her in such pain and suffering?

Furthermore that B*tch of a Sister is no longer a trash!
He decided that since he would enter the Xian Shu Academy he would have the backing of the Academy, so he tried stealing those medical plants for his mother, but who would have known they where actually from the heavens sect?

If so even if he was given a thousand guts, would he really go and offend them?

Suddenly a chilling voice and broke his thoughts,
"Brother, I know you mean well for mother, but now that you have offended the heavens sect, how am I going to study peacefully at Xian Shu Academy? Will I be able to, after the heavens sect finds out that I am your younger sister?"
The voice was so cold and indifferent.
It was calm and collected yet he could hear the mockery in her voice.

Suddenly Kai Jiang Yi was enraged, but before he could say anything, his father cut him off.

"Yue'er, y-you actually passed the entrance exam?!"
Kai Feng Li was sure that the world still believed that his daughter was a trash so how could Tian Shu send her an invitation to the school, and so  the only way to enter was by the exam, and surly even the most talented son of his, Kai Jiang Yi, didn't pass that test! So how did his Yue'er pass it?

He was so shocked that he didn't even believe his beloved daughters words, but before he even got the chance to digest the information, a sudden icy voice replied back to him,

"Husband would you really believe that a sudden trash would turn into a genius over night?" Chu Yue Yi sneered as she said those words coldly.

She hated that husband and daughter pair to the bones! She wanted revenge, and this, wasn't this the best opportunity?

'Kai Yue Ling, you are just a puny trash that is a pretty empty flower vase, don't even try to be anything more than that! Even looking at your face reminds me of her- its revolting.'

At that moment, under the faint light, the originally beautiful aristocrat lady looked pale, her hair was in disarray, a few more white strands of air could be seems covering her face. She laughed coldly, before shooting a death stare at Kai Yue Ling.
