"My baby was out there kicking ass" Kyla greeted Mekai after he came out the locker room

"You seen me?" He grinned, hugging her

"Yeah I saw you applying pressure on the field" she pecked his lips

"Tryna' apply pressure in the bedroom later" he whispered in her ear

"Apply it then" she bit her lip, smirking

"Let's say bye to Dom and Laura so we can leave." he quickly said, ready to get her home

"Ok, but can we order food tonight? I didn't have time to cook today"

"Yeah, baby mama."

"Boy stop-"

"Hey" Bridgett interrupted

"You need to go." Kyla flat out said "I don't even know what would make you walk over here."

"I just came to say congratulations on the game. I have to do this interview for the school newspaper."

"I been asked for another person to interview me. I'm not doing the interview with you."

"I'm the only person available this week." she responded

"I can reschedule." he shrugged

"So, why are you still standing here?" Kyla turned to Bridgett

Bridgett looked as if she was about to say something else, but she just walked away.

Kyla walked to the car and Mekai followed behind, noticing a weird expression on her face.

"Baby, I didn't know she was going to-"

"She's pregnant?" Kyla asked after they both closed their car doors

"I think somebody said she is." he took a swig from his water bottle

"Hm..." she poked the inside of her jaw with her tongue "I think you need to see if it's yours."

"What?" He almost choked "Baby that girl is a ho. Ain't no telling who that baby belong to."

"You and her slept together like 3 or 4 months ago, right? She looks about 4 months. You need to find out for sure."

Mekai sat there in confusion.

"And you'd be ok with that?" he asked

"I'm not saying that. But I'd rather you take care of the child than be a deadbeat, if it's yours." She started the car

"I feel you." He nodded "So uhm...Can I still apply pressure tonight?" He asked with hope in his heart

"You already knew the answer to that before you asked."

"You not in the mood anymore" he answered his own question, smacking his teeth

"Nope. I am hungry though. Where we ordering from?"

~ Next morning (4:15am)

"Sunshine, come back to-" Mekai's words were cut short after he entered the bathroom

"Get out." Kyla was cleaning blood up off the floor

"Baby it's ok. Just let me help"

"No!" she hollered

When she looked up, tears were running down her face.

"Ky, you shouldn't be doing this, let me help you." Mekai felt a lump forming in his throat as he started running a bath for her

He saw nothing but pain written all over her face, he hated seeing her go through this. He especially hated her going through this alone.

"I got it Kai, please." she sobbed, still trying to clean up the mess

"Come on." he tried to hold back his tears as he helped her off the floor

Kyla didn't fight against him, she just weakly fell into his arms.

"I'm sorry." she cried "I'm so sorry."

He shushed her, picking her up and helping her undress.

"I gotta get the blood up."

"Get in the tub, I'll clean it. Go ahead."

Kyla got in the tub, while Mekai started cleaning.  Neither of them said a word. The only thing that could be heard was the water in the tub and scrubbing on the floor.

After cleaning up everything, Mekai and Kyla laid in bed. They couldn't sleep, so they laid there wrapped in each other.

"I really thought this time would be different." she broke the silence

"It's ok." he held her tighter "And this time was different, you didn't go through it alone."

"But I saw the look on your face when you walked in...you looked crushed and that's my fault."

"Stop talking crazy, nothing is your fault. Of course I was hurt, but it hurt me more watching you in pain I know I can't fix."

"...I love you" she held onto him

"I love you more." he pecked her lips, getting comfortable underneath her

In the back of Kyla's mind, she was still thinking about things. She knew that she was supposed to be thinking positive from now on, but this kind of set her back. She'd continue trying to think positive, but there was no guarantee that would work with the events happening in her life.
