They have been going around for a while now, avoiding the slaves as much as they can. Jasmine was currently on her brother's back as she was getting too tired and too slow for them. So, Rick decided to carry her for a while. Jasmine seems to be have fallen asleep.

"I have a plan.. We will be able to catch up to them. But we'll need a car." Rick said, careful not to wake Jasmine up.

He, then, did something unexpected and indicated Ardeth to take Jasmine from him. Which he did, gently, careful to not wake her up. Rick went to get the car with Johnathan.

Jasmine took a deep breath as she woke up, sleepily opening her eyes and closing them, she groaned softly, resting her head near Ardeth's neck and went back to sleep. That made Ardeth smile and hold her closer.

"I'm sorry about Bey. I could tell you two were friends." Jasmine said out of nowhere her eyes still closed peacefully almost making Ardeth wonder if he imagined that but when he saw her open her eyes with a small smile on her face before closing her eyes again leaning against his shoulder.

"He was. He was a devoted Medjai that wanted nothing more than to have peace, not this. He died protecting the world and being a brave man." Ardeth replied, looking away.

Jasmine couldn't help but gently place her hand on his face, making her warrior look at her, "We will win. For Bey, For Adam, For Evan for everyone. And for US." She said softly. Ardeth couldn't help but smile slightly, kissing her head affectionately, they broke away as Rick and Johnathan arrived with the car.

As the got close to their destination, Ardeth began to try and coax Jasmine out of her sleep, gently. She did, rubbing her eyes sleepily. She looked around in daze trying to figure out where they were.

She decided to make herself look presentable, straightening her clothes the best she could, combing her hair using her fingers. Ardeth removed her fingers and started to carefully remove the knots and helped her fix her hair, no words were said but, then again, words were not needed. They knew how to steal a few moments for themselves in situations that are not favourable. They arrived a few minutes later.

"Morning, Winston!" Rick greeted his Legion friend. After a night full of avoiding Imhotep's slaves and trekking through the sewers and a long ride, they had finally made it to Winston's airfield. "Uh, a word?"

"What's your little problem got to do with his Majesty's Royal Air Corps?" Winston asked, calmly taking a sip out of his cup.

Rick shook his head. "Not a damn thing," he responded, immediately causing Winston's eyes to widen in excitement.

"Is it dangerous?" he asked eagerly, his drink momentarily forgotten.

"You probably won't live through it," Rick stated bluntly.

Death, however, appeared to be the least of Winston's worries, and Jasmine was shocked by his excitement. "By Jove, you really think so?"

"Well, everybody else we've bumped into has died, why not you?" Jonathan pointed out.

"What's the, uh, what's the challenge, then?" Winston asked, his interest increasing by the second.

"Rescue the damsel in distress - not my sister, mind you - kill the bad guy, save the world," Rick promptly responded.

"Men," Jasmine huffed under her breath, rolling her eyes at them. Once this whole ordeal was over, she decided, she was going to settle down somewhere for a very bath and a comfy bed with a good book. Not that it would be very likely, but she could always hope. At Ardeth's questioning look, she gestured to her brother and elaborated, "All men are little loose on the head I mean, who talks like that! Men are just plain crazy. Uh, I mean, not all men, I, of course, didn't mean you by it...umm.." she trailed off, unable to get rid of the heat rising on her cheeks.
