He saw Uttara tensed up as soon as he thought of her "Arya" She said turning around with an drawn arrow and shot it near his feet

"Devi, what is this?" Abhimanyu says angerily picking up an arrow

"It's an arrow Arya"

"I know it's an arrow" Abhimanyu examines it "This was the same arrow that landed near my feet when I came to Matsya desh" Abhimanyu pauses "You lied to me, you lied to everyone, even when you fought Uttar you faked getting hurt? Devi why did you hide this from me? Was I not important enough to you to tell?" Abhimanyu asks in the same tone

"You are really important to me Arya, I just didn't know who to tell" Uttara says meekly melting all of Abhimanyu's anger "Pitashree was very specific that I didn't tell anyone, it killed me to keep it a secret, he said that you never know who may be a spy and having an unseen warrior is one of the greatest advantages a kingdom has"

"Who else knows?"

"My dad and Uttar"

"You didn't tell your mom?"

"I wouldn't be here if I told her, she would have told her brother and he would've killed me"

Abhimanyu clenches his fists "Where is your Mamashree?"

Uttara smiles looking at Abhimanyu's clenched fists "Arya, you cant hurt someone who's already dead"

"Leave that, what are you doing at this time? It's really late, your mom would be really worried"

"I was practicing"

"The Kurukshetra"

"But you-" Abhimanyu stops himself, he doesn't want to make this into an Arjun-Ekalavya thing "Okay I will help you, I can teach you what you don't know already, We will become the best warriors in the Aryaverth"

Uttara and Abhimanyu start practicing and Abhimanyu teaches Uttara a lot and Abhimanyu learns from Uttara as well, but Abhimanyu realizes that all the praises he recieved were false, he realized that he wasn't the best warrior in the Aryaverth, Uttara was the best.

"Devi, is that your horse?" Abhimanyu asks

"Yes, her name is Shali, no one knows she's mine, all people know is that she won the most races" 

Abhimanyu gets closer to the horse and the horse stumbles back

"She doesn't trust you Arya, let me help" Uttara goes closer to her horse and starts petting it and signals for Abhimanyu to come closer "Now she knows nothing will happen" Uttara says proudly

"Come let's go, I'll steer your horse" Abhimanyu says

"But it's my horse"

"And you are hurt Devi, you got stiches just a week ago, wait a minute" Abhimanyu looks at Uttara's arm "how did you ride your horse here?" Abhimanyu asks concerned

"With one hand" Uttara says

"But you are right handed, and your right arm is hurt, how can you steer"

"I can steer a horse and fight with both of my hands"

"You really are Savyasachi's daughter-in-law"

"Not yet Arya"

"Come" Abhimanyu says as he gets on the horse and reaches for Uttara's hand

They were both riding slowly, Uttara was sitting towards one side with her head on Abhimanyu's chest, she felt mostly at peace, but one question was bothering her, she knew that Abhimanyu lied this morning and she wanted to know the truth
