"Arya don't move" Uttara says worriedly "It's venomous"
"I should've listen-"
"Don't talk either Abhimanyu" Uttara says as she slowly backs up keeping an eye on the snake and reaches for her bow
"Devi you cant shoot the snake"
"Arya, I said don't talk"
Uttara's hands fit perfectly on the bow, she chants a silent mantra that summons an arrow and she stands next to Abhimanyu and puts the arrow in front of the snake almost as if she's giving it a path to follow, but the second Uttara comes near the snake it becomes violent and starts attacking her causing her to step back
"I can just-"
"No Arya, if you move even a little bit, it it'll bite you"
Uttara gets closer again summoning another arrow but this time using her scent to lure the snake onto the arrow and quickly shoots it forward before the snake realizes what's happening and starts attacking Uttara again
"Devi let's go back" Abhimanyu says
"Arya it was just a snake"
They hear ruffling from the bushes and go to see an empty bag and some shedded snake skin
"Devi, I think we should go back"
"Yes Arya let's go back, I don't think we are safe outside of the ashram"
Uttara and Abhimanyu got back to the ashram to see Satyavati and Maharishi Ved Vyas waiting for them
"Uttara, Abhimanyu what were you doing this late out into the night wandering through the forest?" Satyavati asks them
"It was all my-" Uttara and Abhimanyu say and then look at each other in shock
"Rajkumari" The young girl calls from behind Uttara "Your owl got you a letter" the girl says handing Uttara a letter
"There's no need to call me Rajkumari, you can just call me by my name, and thank you for giving me my letter" Uttara says with a warm smile and kneeling down to the 5 year old's level
"But you are older than me, how can I call you by your name?"
"Then call me didi, now won't you tell your didi what you're name is?"
"Pritha" the girl says smiling
"Pritha?" Abhimanyu asks kneeling next to Uttara
"Yes, it's the name of the pandavas' mother, have you not heard of that name before?"
Uttara chuckles at the young child's innocence "We've heard of the name before Pritha, it's such a unique name, he was just wondering if you heard it right"
"Anyways what were both of you doing out this late?" Ved Vyas Maharishi asks them
"We are really sorry Maharishi, we didn't mean to come this late but there was a snake and-" Abhimanyu stops himself
"Snake? where was the snake?" Satyavati asks concerned
"On me! I was standing next to a tree and a snake crawled on me!" Uttara lies "But all thanks to Arya nothing happened"
"Okay both of you go" Satyavati tells the couple
They make their way to the hut that had been set up for them and Uttara sits on the low resting bed
"Now what do we do now Devi" Abhimanyu says putting his head in Uttara's lap
"She's so cute Arya" Uttara says slowly sliding her hand through Abhimanyu's hair
