"Ethan this is ridiculous, I can hardly walk in these" I tell him and he looks over from the bathroom
"I've not heard heals on the floor so stop lying and walk over here" he says and I walk in them
"Wait, this is easy" I say confidently
"Don't be trading your boots for heals though" he says doing his hair in the mirror.
"Wouldn't dream of it" i say and he chuckles fastening his shirt up.
"I think you should leave a few buttons undone" I tell him and he smirks
"Do you?" He asks before glaning at me before his head snaps back towards me
"What?" I ask, "too much?"
"No, you look stunning" he says and i smile
"Thanks, you look very handsome" I tell him
"I know" he says and I laugh before I head back into the bedroom
"So where is the meal then?" I ask him
"Some Italian, it's quite posh actually. I think your mom has rented out a room" he says
"Oh great" I say sarcastically looking in the mirror
My eyes trail over the bullet scar on my thigh and I don't realise he's talking to me until he stood behind me.
"Stop thinking about what people are going to think" he tells me and I turn around
"I cant help it, people just stare" I say
"I think they look cool, look I have them as well. It defines who you are, you shouldn't be afraid of them. You should embrace them, your a tough girl Eden, it shows how much you've been through" he tells me and i nod
"Plus, you look sexy" he says and I chuckle
"I'm being serious, you do" he says putting his hands on my waist and I rest my arms around his neck and he pulls me closer to him and I chuckle
"I don't think that was the vibe I'm going for at a family party" I say
"Well I'm getting that vibe of you right now" he says and I roll my eyes at him
"Are you sure your just not being horny?" I ask and he laughs
"There's also that" he says and I smile at him and he presses his lips against mine.
I deepen the kiss and I push myself up against him as his trails trail along my back.
God this feels so right.

"I'm on it" i say getting serious and he smiles at me and we walk inside
"Hi, we should be under the Martinez booking?" Ethan asks
"Yes, the rest of your party is here" the waiter tells us, "if you'd follow me"
I find myself holding hands with Ethan and we walk upstairs and we follow the waiter along a brightly lit corridor.
"Here you are" he says and I push the door open and everyone cheers.
"Oh my god" I say shocked and everyone seems to be buying my acting skills
I move my gaze over everyone, my friends from school, the family and Luke and Cameron from my section.

"Luke?" I ask excitedly
"Eden!" He practically screams and I run and hug him

"Rest leave and we have brought your present with us" he says
"What present?" I ask with a small laugh

"Your kidding?" I ask tearing up, "you better not be joking with me!"
"Were not!" Cameron says coming out from the crowd of people letting Max off his lead and he runs up to me and jumps and I catch him
"Max" i say as he licks my face and I put him down and kneel down
"Oh my god, your such a good boy" i say as he runs around in circles at me and i laugh
"Why am I crying?" I hear Mia says and everyone laughs
"Good boy" I tell him stoking his fur
"Max" i say and he stops moving and looks up at me
"I also have your other best friend here" i tell him and he looks around the room before his eyes land on Ethan and he chuckles
"Come here Max" Ethan says and Max looks at me
"Go on" i say and he bolts over to Ethan
"This is amazing" Luke says and I stand up.
"How are you doing?" I ask Cameron giving him a hug

"How did you even get him here?" I ask them
"We got a request from a Captain Lousia Lewis, and the temp boss said we could bring him back with us" he says and i smile

"We are all good now stop worrying and sit down" Luke says and i chuckle
We all sit around the table and Max follows me, "up" i say patting the chair next to me and he jumps up
"This is the best birthday ever" I tell Ethan and he smiles
