"Never heard you make that sound before" he says and I laugh
"Don't get me wrong, sexy as fuck but so unexpected" he says and I laugh again
"Yeah well the last time we did it was like nine months ago and... yeah it's been a while" i say
"You've not had sex for nine months?" He asks shocked
"Yep, it's been hell I won't lie to you. I almost did but this person I was with, it didn't feel right" I say and he nods
"Well you can have sex with me whenever you want, I'm not complaining" he says and I smirk
"Of course your not complaining" I say
"Hey, I didn't hear any complaints from you" he says and I playfully glare at him and he laughs
"What time is it?" I ask him
"Around nine" he tells me and i nod
"I'm just going to get a drink, do you want anything?" I ask him and he shakes his head
"Okay" i say standing up and I instantly realise that I'm not wearing any clothes
"I love the view" he says and I roll my eyes
I grab his shirt from the floor and put it on, it coming up to my mid thighs.
"Eden?" He asks me and I look at him
"What do you what for Christmas?" He asks me
"Nothing, I have everything I need" I say and he narrows his eyes and frowns slightly
"Don't look at me like that, I'm not in a very Christmas mood" I tell him
"That's because you refused to put the tree up" he says
"Hey, my boyfriend got shot and the doctors orders were for you to be on bed rest" I say
"Fine but tomorrow after school we're decorating a tree" he says with a smile
"Fine, it's going to be so weird actually celebrating Christmas this year" I say
"Yeah, last Christmas was hectic" he says
"Hectic is an understatement, hundreds of army troops doing challenges and games then in the middle being called out urgently to deal with a trafficking incident whilst dressed head to toe in tinsel isn't fun" I say and he laughs
"Well you can't say that you were bored" he says
"True" i say with a smile before pushing the bedroom door open and I freeze.
"Oh my god!" I shout
"What?" Ethan says scrambling up out of bed pushing towards me putting some shorts on
"That mut" Ethan says standing next to me
I look at the kitchen counter, an asleep Max is sleeping his face covered in gravy, legs in the air and the chicken we left on the side from last nights meal in his stomach.
"Max!" I shout and his eyes open but he doesn't move
"What have you done?" I ask talking towards him and he wags his tail slightly but avoids eye contact with me
"He ate my sandwich" Ethan says annoyed holding the empty piece of tinfoil that has no remains of any kind of sandwich
"Naughty" I tell Max and he drops his ears and rolls onto his stomach.
Oh my god he's so cute.

"You, mister!" Ethan says pointing at Max walking up to him and Max looks the other way.
"Owe me a sandwich!" He says and i laugh
"Don't laugh! He has to be taught not to get away with this" Ethan says and I giggle
"I thought you trained him, why did he eat my sandwich?" Ethan asks
"Cause he's my greedy baby and I spoil him" i say and Max wags his tail, hitting Ethan in the arm in the process and a small smile appears on his face.
"Who am I kidding i can't stay mad at him" Ethan says and stroking Max
"Off" i tell max and he jumps off the kitchen counter
"We're going to have to get a baby gate" I say watching Max as he jumps onto the sofa
"That or we could re-train him to cook us food, like ratatouille" Ethan says before singing the ratatouille songs and I let out a loud laugh
"That's an idea but god knows what food we'd be eating" I say and he laughs walking up to me and hugs me
"What are you doing tomorrow?" I ask him
"After school, I have a meeting" he says
"What for?" I ask pulling away from him
"They want us to fly out for the weekend on a mission" he says
"But you've just been shot" I say
"After Christmas, just a few days in January whilst we deal with... well I've not been told yet but we have to deal with someone" he says and i nod
"Okay" I say looking down
"Your not worried are you?" He asks touching my face gently and I look up into his eyes
"No, it's your job. I'm the same, it's just more real that we..." i trail off
"That we what darling?" He asks me
"You know, we risk our lives very day for our country but it just makes you realise how dangerous our jobs are... all I'm trying to say is be careful, I want my boyfriend home in one piece" I say and he smiles
"You know me darling, I'm the best of the best and I love you. You know we do what we do is to keep us safe, so there's no need for the upcoming lecture on following protocol" he says and i smile
"Hey, you'll be getting one when you are out there" i say and he smiles
"Wouldn't have it any other way"
