MIKI waved goodbye as she shouldered on her backpack, mentally preparing herself for another long day of clinical assessment.

San had stayed for the remainder of the weekend, leaving tonight after dinner. Part of her was relieved to see him go, but she was also not looking forward to things going back to normal.

San continued waving until the front door closed shut behind her. "What course does she study?"

Wooyoung looked up his laptop, taking some time to process the question. "Oh... nursing."

"Cute," his best friend chuckled. "You complement each other nicely then."

"Mm."

BY the time Miki came home, it was just about time for dinner.

Taking off her jacket, she went straight to preparing a hearty meal. As she reached backwards to tie on her apron, slender fingers trapped her hands, making her unable to do so.

A low voice came from behind. "Don't worry. I've got it sorted."

He... made dinner.

Miki shouldn't be so surprised. She knew he could cook, but was always so busy with work they either got takeaway or she ate by herself.

"You're finally home Miki? Hurry up, I'm starving!" San's impatient call from the dining room confirmed her suspicions.

She turned around, taking her apron off slowly as Wooyoung released her hands.

He was looking at her, but she refused to meet his gaze. "Thank you," she muttered.

"You're welcome."

That evening, they watched San back out of their driveway, standing side-by-side.

"Don't look so relieved, Wooyoung-ah!" San shouted through his car window. "I'll be back soon enough!"

He let out a small tsk, and Miki giggled slightly.

They went to bed at the same time that night. She didn't expect to hear him climb the stairs after her, but figured he was too exhausted from entertaining their guest to watch some tv.

They parted ways into their separate bedrooms. Before she closed her door, Miki hesitated.

Nothing.

Trying to fight the disappointment, she almost missed a soft voice from across the hall.

"Sweet dreams."
