THEY WERE IN THE LIVING ROOM. Elizabeth was sitting next to Klaus while he was reading "A poison tree" by William Blake. Elijah was sitting on the opposite of them, reading one of his mother's grimoires. Elizabeth on the other hand was reading a grimoire from the Gemini coven looking for information on the Harvest. One of her ancestors had participated in this sacrificial ritual before she married the leader of Elizabeth's coven a century ago. A dead girl was laying on the coffee table as they were listening to classical music. Elizabeth rolled her eyes, this music was getting on her nerves.

"And whose lunch is that?" Elizabeth asked with curiosity, her attention on the dead girl's body. "She definitely looks tasty," she remarked with a grin.

"This is an." Elijah begins searching for the word "peace offering," he tells her, changing the page of the grimoire.

"I presumed, after so much time desiccating in a coffin, that my big brother might be a bit peckish," Klaus said smirking.

"And I explained to my little brother, that forgiveness cannot be bought. I'd simply prefer to see a change in behavior that indicates contrition and personal growth," explained Elijah gesturing to the dead girl while Klaus rolled his eyes guiltily. "Not this nonsense."

"Well, I couldn't very well let her go to waste, could I?" Klaus grins while Elizabeth agrees with him.

"Definitely, she looks delicious. I wish I was a vampire. I mean you feed on blood, you're immortal, super strength, compulsion, the other mind thingy Elijah did when we first meet. Basically, there are only advantages. The dying part inst even that bad.  Who wouldn't want to be a vampire? I mean if I could stay a witch I would. Can you imagine that being a hybrid like you but a vamp-witch? I could even be stronger than you."

Klaus looks at her, Elizabeth frowns, not knowing what goes into his mind. He only stops looking at her when Rebekah enters the room. "So, this is what you do the first time we're back together as a family? Vampire and siphon book club?" she asks.

Elizabeth laughs at Rebekah's answer while Klaus continues reading. "Reading edifies the mind, sister. Isn't that right, Elijah?" Klaus asks.

"Yes, that's quite right, Niklaus."

"Well, I suppose I'll go fetch the rubbish bin because she's staining a two-hundred-year-old carpet," Rebekah says. Elijah looks up from his book to see the girl bleeding out onto the table, where the blood drips onto the floor. "Ah, yes."
