Winter POV

"So, a date?"

I glare at Stiles as he leans against the wall in my bathroom.

"No. A drive."

"Right, and I'm a werewolf."

The hairtie in my braid snaps and I growl, grabbing another.

"We've only talked, what, three times?" I argue.

"So we're gonna ignore the heartfelt glances at eachother? Or the staring? Or-"

"And that's enough of that." I say, shoving him out and closing the door.

I can hear him snickering while he walks away.

"Where to?" Isaac asks as I slide into the passenger seat of the Camaro.

Apparently, Derek let him borrow it.

"I'm not sure. What were you thinking?"

"Seeing as I'm still a runaway, probably nothing too public."

I hum, thinking as he backs out of the driveway.

"McDonalds?" I ask.

Isaac looks at me with a confused expression.

"Don't tell me you've never had McDonalds," I say.

"No, no, I have. It's just most girls want fancy restaurant food."

I grin. "It doesn't take much to make me happy."

He does the same. "Good to know."

"Tell me, Wolfy-" I start.

"Wolfy?" Isaac asks through a mouthful of burger.

"Yes, Wolfy. Why didn't you leave with Erica and Boyd?" I ask, pointing my spoon at him from across the table.

"You wishing I did?"

"No, just curious."

He stirs his drink with the straw.

"Because there's a lot here worth staying for."

"Ah. Gotcha." I pause. "What's your favorite color?"

Issac chuckles, taking another bite of his burger.

"Blue. You?"

"Green. Favorite animal?"

"We playing 20 questions or something?" He asks.

I smile.

"Red panda, if you must know."

"Hey, they're cute. DC or Marvel?"

He stares at me. "Do I have to answer that?"

"Yep."

"Marvel?" He says, making it sound more like a question.

I clap quietly. "Good choice. Team Gale or Team Peeta?"

Isaac spreads his hands out. "What is this?"

I steeple my fingers.

"Peeta," He finally answers. "My turn to ask questions."

I huff dramatically. "Shoot."

"What was the name of your first pet?"

"Bob the goldfish."

"Bob?"

"I was 6."

He grins. "Star Wars or Trek?"

"That's a tie."

"Lord of the Rings or Game of-"

"Lord of the Rings," I interrupt.

"Me too. Cats or dogs?"

"Cats." I sit back, letting my ice cream melt on my tongue.

"But you have a dog."

"I'll get a cat, don't worry." I wink.

Isaac shakes his head. "Favorite book?"

My eye twitches.

"I can hear your brain shorting out," He smiles.

"Maze Runner."

"Interesting."

We look up as people start coming in.

"Why is it so busy at 8:00 at night?" Isaac asks.

"Dunno. Wanna go?"

He nods and we slip out, heading for the Camaro.

"Where now?" He asks, starting it.

"There's a place at the Reserve with a good view."

I lead Isaac through the woods, heading for a cliff Stiles and I had found.

"You didn't say it would be this much walking," Isaac complains.

"That's 'cuz I didn't remember there was this much walking."

I scramble up the small hill, walking across until I'm a few feet from the edge.

Isaac stops beside me. "Good view."

All of Beacon Hills is below us, the moon giving us a lot of light, storm clouds rolling in from the east.

"I'm going to ask a personal question, which you don't have to answer." Isaac says after a few minutes.

I side eye him. "Alright."

"What's your opinion on dating?"

I blink, stunned such a question came from him.

"Well, seeing as I've never dated, that's difficult to answer. I think it's a good thing, if you find the right person."

"And how do you know you've found that person?"

"You complete eachother without knowing it. You feel safer, happier. You get butterflies every time they look at you. I don't know, I'm guessing."

"Seemed like a good explanation to me."

We grin at eachother.

"I'm thinking you've guessed my next question," He says.

"I have. And yes."

"Yes?" I can hear the hopefulness in his voice.

"Yes, I'll date you." I smile.

It starts downpouring as he smiles back.

"I'm not sure that's a good omen," He says.

I laugh and we start running for the Camaro.

Isaac jumps down the ledge, holding out his hand.

"Don't leave me hanging." He says as I hesitate.

I smile and take it.
