I must have fallen asleep because the next thing I know I'm being shaken awake by someone. It was my so called "dad".  Looking at him with cold eyes I move away from him, gather my things and walk out of the place and inside the car already containing my brother and a guard In there. Ignoring the stars i piick a seat and sit down listening to some adele on my airpods. I didn't work hard to be rich for nothing

"Sweetie we are home"- "dad" said tapping me on my shoulder

"Don't call me sweetie you have a wife for that. Also what your name i don't want to be calling you dad" -I said

I didn't really give a fuck about how much it hurt him. He's hurt me a lot worse

"It's Mario"- he said

I like Luigi better but oh well

"Well Mario, I don't like being touched by strangers" I see hurt in his eyes but i just don't care

"We are home"-Mario said

Third person POV

"I don't think of this as a home"- She mumbled under her breath

It was supposed to be a quiet thought but they heard it and it hurt them a lot but they knew they couldn't be hurt because they were the cause of it.

"Let's go meet the family"- Oliver said

"They aren't in Italy babes"- she said while walking ahead of them.

As they entered the house she saw her so-called family kneeling on the floor.

In her head, this was absolutely hilarious to her. Did they think this would make her forgive them? They must be joking she thought

"You being on your knees isn't really screaming apology to me"- She said

For them, this was a big deal as they would never kneel to anyone but for her, they'd do it with no questions asked.

"We are sorry Aurelia" Mario said.

Their apologies meant nothing to her as 11 years ago her words meant nothing to her. 

"Introduce yourself" Mario said

"I'm Elijah"

"Hi, I'm Santiago and I'm so happy you're back."

Santiago was also someone that believed her but he was always shy back then so he was scared. Scared that they would send him away, scared that they would yell at him like they did to her.

But after all were the brothers really at fault? They were also very little and were just following their role model.

"I'm Oliver as you already know."

She wasn't interested in any of her brothers but she was confused as to why Lorenzo wasn't speaking.

"Why isn't Lorenzo talking" She said

The brothers were very surprised that she could remember his name. By their looks, she could tell they were confused.

"Oh I have a photographic memory so I remember all of you...and why I hate you."

They were all feeling a ping of regret in their hearts. If they just believed her she would still be home. If they had just checked the cameras..

"He has selective mutism. He knows sign language though"- Mom said breaking the silence

Aurelia wanted nothing more than to jump into her mom's arms. After all she wasn't there when it happened and if she was Aurelia was sure she would've believed her. But why didn't she look for her after? Why didn't she pick her up from the orphanage? Why?
