managing to find stability on my leg i shoot him a right hook a while he doges at the last minute. Escaping from his grasp i push him back with my elbow and now preparing for a kick . i manage to land, he stubbles due to to the sudden impact on his chest thought the hallway .
i could hear a lock being opened . realizing in the ruckus we made too much noise i sprint back to my room while he staggers
the last thing i had seen was those cold calculating orbs starring through me as if he could see something through me .
after locking the door i see an uninvited guest looking at me unimpressed .
Of course my body wasn't easily damaged simply by the rule of thumb a bit of bruises and scratches but nothing severe but if he finds out I'm sure he'll begin to suspect shits going down
Alexa eyed me rolling their head up and back down in a circular motion as if to imitate an eye roll . their metal plate made a Ching sound when head finally returned back to its place
ignoring my battered appearance they said " i located the item that you been searching for ....
i motion for her to continue
"as you have predicted the item is located in the floating islands of Auden . although it was quite difficult our men managed to find and piece together the clues to find the current location of the sky base but it seem like from our observation there would be 4 heavenly protectors protecting that place "
"it would be to dangerous and risky to steal the item i have chosen to leave that up to you for now . if we get caught up in another conflict with the gods again it would undoubtedly lead to war."
" a war that we don't have the finance or manpower to cover " they finished the last line obviosly meant for me
by staying dormant and handing all the important work to Alexa proved to be successful and getting my self one step closer to getting my hands on a the McGuffin .
the magical artifact in question is a dagger from what i remember in the novel "a sliver dagger with golden grip and on the fuller there inscribed in to the metal a the text "Evil is not capable of creating anything new, it can only distort and destroy what has been invented or made by the forces of good." the dagger is the only thing that could kill an immortal and was said to be infused with a gods blood but none the less at how cliché this sounds its gonna sound even better
the darn thing is unvealdable to everyone except when for a light magic user as their power comes directly from gods or the sun god to be exact . but for normal not really special me it would be heavy as lifting the whole expectation of our Asian parents and their parents .
but if it was truly impossible why would they need guards to protect them , not just any guards like angels or spirits but one of celestial guards division the heavenly protectors. And im pretty sure when the heroine and her simps arrived there were no guards ? did they just suddenly quit? or maybe a strike? i mean how much would a god like being gonna be paying you?
ughhh today is just not my day to many question and too little answers
