Emerald's POV

I opened the door of my condo, and went inside, followed by Carlisle, who's carrying Eve.

Eve fell asleep when we got out of the arcade, she's being carried by Carlisle.

"Her room is on the right side." I told her father.

Nang-makapasok siya doon upang ilapag ang anak namin, ay nag-bihis na rin ako.

I changed into my night silk dress. Kulay puti iyon, abot hanggang sa taas ng tuhod ko.

Nang-makapag bihis ako, lumabas ako sa sala upang mag-ligpit.

Naabutan ko siyang naka-upo doon sa may sofa.

"Aren't you going home?" I asked him while cleaning the kitchen.

"Can't i stay here, for just one night?" He asked in a serious tone.

"You booked a hotel right? What's the use of that, kung hindi ka doon tutuloy?" I asked not looking at him.

I glance at him, and caught him rolling his eyes at me.

He's here for our daughter, he's still the grumpy ass Carlisle i know back then.

"Go home, it's getting late." I casually said.

"Bakit? Concern ka?" He asked smirking.

Tss.

"It's getting late, nakakaistorbo ka." Seryoso kong saad.

His expression softened, once i said that.

He grabbed his coat, and was about to leave, but he stopped infront of the door.

"What?" I asked raising one of my brow.

"I forgot something." He said looking at me.

Naningkit ang mga mata ko, tila ba'y tinatanong kung anong nakalimutan niya.

I was shocked when he walked towards my direction, and bent down a little to kiss my forehead.

I felt butterflies in my stomach once he did that.

"I've missed you, nae salang." He said as he cupped my face.

My eyes widened in shock, but i immediately looked away.

"Take care." He said before closing the door.

I stood there at the same spot.... dumbfounded.

Carlisle's POV

I smiled as i opened the door of my car, remembering her reaction.

She became too beautiful, throughout the years.

I started the engine still smiling.

I arrived at the hotel, and saw Luis sitting at the sofa while eating chips, with a can of beer beside him.

He's watching a movie, but his eyes landed on me once i get in.

"Mukhang matutulog kang nakangiti ah." Luis said with a teasing look.

I chuckled, remembering everything.

"Spill the tea naman bro." He said while chewing on his chips.

I sat down beside him.

He handed me a can of beer, and offered me his chips.

"I... kissed her." I started.

I know i'm blushing right now. I know i look stupid, but it doesn't matter, atleast na-kiss ko siya.

I saw that his mouth formed an 'O' and his expression changed into a shock one.

"Yun oh, iba talaga galawan ng isang Carlisle." He teased.

"We went on a date as a family. We had a great time together." Pag-papatuloy kopa.

"Putcha bro, namumula ka, tama na, masyado kanang kinikilig." Pang-aasar niya pa sa'kin.

"Ulol." I sad as i sipped on my beer.

"Pero bro, ganda nga ng asawa mo 'no?" He asked looking at me. Na tila ba inaantay ang reaksyon ko.

I glared at him.

"Tumigil ka kung ayaw mong ilibing kita ng buhay." I threatened him.

"Eto naman, magtatawanan tayo, ganun ang bonding." He laughed nervously.

"Alam mo Luis?" I asked him.

"Ano?" He asked.

"Putangina mo." I smiled at him before throwing the can of beer at him.

I stood up and went to the bed.

I laid down and looked at the ceiling.

I sighed.

Gosh Elle, what do i do with you? Lakas ng tama ko sa'yo.

I think about her and our daughter, hindi kona namalayan na naka-tulog na pala ako.

Emerald's POV

"Eomma, when will we see appa again?" She asked while eating her breakfast.

Kanina niya pa ako tinatanong.

"Honey, i don't know okay? Appa is bus-" Hindi kona natapos ang sasabihin ko ng may mag-salitang lalaki.

"Hi baby." I looked at the man who spoke and saw Carlisle looking at Eve.

He bent down to carry Eve.

Eve looked so happy to see her father. Akala mo 10 years hindi nag-kita.

Carlisle gave her a kiss on her cheek before putting her down.

While washing the dishes, i felt a pair of hands, hugging my waist.

"Hajima." I said almost stuttering.

I was shocked when he kissed my cheek.

"Ano ba? I'm washing the dishes, and besides, hindi natin kailangan mag-panggap, Eve knows." I said removing his arms on my waist.

"Who said we're pretending?" He asked arching his left brow.

I was too stunned to speak, so i immediately went back to what i'm doing.

"Stop avoiding me." He said in a serious tone.

"I wasn't." I said not looking at him.

"I know you are." He sighed.

"Your feelings may had faded, but i'll make sure to win your heart again." He said looking at my eyes.

My heartbeat races.

"Why would you do that?" I asked taking off my gloves.

"Because i love you." He said directly, grabbing my chin, making me look at him.

God, nag-papalpitate na po ako.

"But, you said you will never like a woman like me?" I said, bringing up the past.

"Oh, i said that? I don't know i was too stupid back then." He massaged his forehead.

"Too bad, i realized that i love you, right after you left me." He said seriously, not breaking the eye contact.

"Do you know how much i've missed you, Mrs. Monteverde?" He asked looking deeply in my eyes.
