Lightning ⚡️🌩

Shoyo was sitting on Tsukishima's bed wearing his headphones legs curled up to his chest and his head laying on his knees trying to concentrate on anything besides what was happening outside

It was cold outside recently and that lead to thunderstorms at night which you could class as shoyo's worst fear he had no problem picking up spiders or walking down a dark corridor nor being home alone but thunderstorms is what he feared the most tho going in the sea was a close second

"It will clear up in an hour or so"Kei said while walking back into bedroom and sitting on the bed next to hinata

Shoyo could just about make out what he was saying through the music that was blocking out any sound of thunder so he nodded hoping it was a appropriate answer to whatever Tsukishima said

Comforting people wasn't exactly tsukishima's strong suit so he sat next to hinata and ruffled his hand through shoyo's hair hoping that it would make him feel even a little bit better at least

After a while he noticed the thunder was only getting louder and more empowering along side it Shoyo was getting more tense  clearly holding back a couple of tears and rubbing his hands up and down the back of his  thighs

Tsukishima could only think of one approach to the situation it was a big step but it would help

"Sho have you ever seen lightning like in person?"Kei shouted knowing that hinata wouldn't hear him if he said it in a normal volume

Hinata actually caught on to what tsukishima was saying this time so he batted back the tears in his eyes before answering

"Well not quiet I never stick around long enough to actually see that part,I've seen it in movies and stuff tho !" He only noticed how funny it was once he said it out loud 16 and never seen lightning before

Kei stood up from the bed then stuck out his Hand intending for Shoyo to take it

Hinata hesitated for a minute before deciding he felt safer standing up holding Tsukishima's hand that sitting on the bed alone

Kei was about to take a step closer to the door before dragging the blanket from the bottom of the bed and wrapping  it around hinata who was probably cold seen as he always wore shorts in the winter and trousers in the summer for some reason ,then planting a kiss on his upper cheek before dragging him out into the hallway then down the stars before being faced with the front door

"What if I get Struck by lightning and turn into some super speedy sonic flash type of dude, are you sure it's safe ?" Shoyo said while scrunching up his nose

"Yes it's safe and You've been watching too much tv instead of studying or doing something productive"

"I can barely hear you but I just know judging me extremely hard right now"

"Maybe I am who knows"Kei said while reaching for the door handle

The wait between the door handle turning down and the door being opened felt like a decade to Shoyo who could swear  his heartbeat was louder than the extremely loud music that was playing in his ear tho it was only about 2 seconds in that 2 seconds his hand grabbed onto kei's tighter than before and he made sure the blue star patterned blanket was tightly wrapped around him he also questioned weather he was going to survive in those two seconds

"Beautiful Right ?" 

Shoyo was too occupied to answer his eyes wide open by the sight of the rain that seemed to be falling at an angle almost looking like snow and the street lights making it even more prettier than it should be and the flashes of  bright electric  blue lightning that seemed a lot more beautiful than they did in movies also realising that the distance between him and the lightning in the sky looked almost unreachable

His hand gripped even tighter on to Tsukishima's tho he was now practically hugging kei's arm not out of fear but out of thrill almost like he could feel fireworks vibrating through his body and for tsukishima when he looks back at this memory he likes to claim he could see the fireworks radiating from shoyo's head
