The lamb and the wendigo

Battle against chaos

Third person pov:

Lambert woke up from his nightmare to find himself on the floor. Due to moving around too much in his sleep he rolled out of bed. Then he jumped at the sound of someone knocking at the door.

*Knock knock knock!*

"Leader? Are you in there?" "We heard a loud noise coming from your hut, are you ok?" Two of Lambert's cult members asked. "Y-yes Im ok! I just accidentally fell out of bed, no need to worry!" Lambert said to his cult members while getting off the floor.
"Oh good! Well everyone is waiting for you in the temple so you can give your daily sermon so don't be late!" One of the cult members then walked away from Lambert's hut.

Lambert fixed himself up and made his bed and put on his red fleece and red crown and headed for the temple to give his sermon.

Timeskip to the end of the sermon

The lamb was finishing up cooking everyone's meal and then got started on planting berries and flowers seeds and picking berries for everyone's meal tomorrow. The lamb started to fix other follower's collapsed sleeping bags and added another sleeping bag for the new dog follower he rescued yesterday who he named Theodore.

Lambert got ready for his crusade through the Darkwoods he picked the Bane Axe for his main weapon and picked the Hounds of Fate for his curse and went into the first room.
Everything was going smoothly for the lamb until the room started to shake and turned red some monsters started to explode. A black portal with triangle red sides appeared in the middle of the room and a giant green worm raised out of the portal wearing a black robe with golden trimmings on it. The worm also bloodstained bandages wrapped around his head with a black ichor can be seen oozing out from beneath the bandages where his eye is supposed to be. And finally the green worm was wearing a green crown on top of its head.

It's Leshy the bishop of chaos.

Leshy telepathically lifted the lamb off the ground and made him stay in place turning Lambert's eyes red then Leshy started to speak.

"Finally... let us end this. I'll be awaiting you in my temple... come! Witness true power." Leshy told the lamb then let go of the lamb and sinked into the portal and disappeared.

'So Leshy wants to fight huh? Hehe this should be fun'
Lambert thought and ran into the next room.
After going through three rooms and getting three tarot cards from Clauneck that can help Lambert in battle.
Lambert reached the red door with the green crown on it and with three white lines on it. The fourth dark line on the door turned white and the door started to shake and large cracks appeared and the red door broke open.

'It's time.'' Lambert thought as he walked into Leshy's temple. When the lamb walked down the stone pathway at the end was Leshy and his followers waiting for him.
"I grow tired of you, little Lamb... Time to put an end to this FRIVOLOUS MASQUERADE!"
Five of Leshy's followers had a dagger in their hands and shouted "For Leshy the bishop of chaos!" Then proceeded to stab themselves in the chest and died. Then Leshy absorbed their blood and started to transform him into an enormous tree-like worm with a giant, lamprey-like mouth drooling with ichor and lined with several rows of sharp teeth. The branches on his head grow thicker and more gnarled, and four black-and-red eyes bulge from either side of his maw.

When Leshy's transformation was complete the remaining followers suddenly exploded and Leshy let out a massive roar. Lambert rushed into action Leshy summoned some monsters and burrowed into the ground and moved into a random direction and came out of the ground. Then Leshy shot out green orbs at Lambert who dodged a few of the orbs but got hit by some of them. Lambert was able to get several hits off of Leshy. Leshy burrowed into the ground again and came back out and sent out spikes in a star pattern that Lambert was able to avoid and was able to land several more hits on Leshy. Leshy did the same attacks that Lambert memorized and easily avoided and landed several more hits on Leshy this enraged Leshy. So Lsehy summoned more monsters and burrowed into the ground and moved in a random direction and shot out green orbs at Lambert that Lambert dodged.

'He's just doing the same attacks! This is so easy!' Lambert thought he had this in the bag. But then Leshy did something different; he jumped high in the sky so high that Lambert lost him in the sun. 'I jinxed didn't I?' Lambert thought while mentally face palming himself. Lambert had a strong feeling he shouldn't stand in the same place and started to run around the temple to the point where he got exhausted. Lambert stopped to take a breath until noticed a shadow forming under him and it was getting bigger and bigger. He looked up and saw Leshy closing in on fast; the lamb narrowly avoided the attack but still took some damage while doing so.

Leshy sent out some spikes but this time it was a ring pattern that Lambert nearly avoided but Lambert was still able to get multiple hits on Leshy. The battle went on longer and faster and Lambert was getting beaten up and dirty; he even got a really bad eye injury from Leshy's spikes. But Lambert was not giving up he was determined to kill Leshy so he kept going and got more hits off of Leshy. Leshy started to get nervous and desperate, and his attacks became more frantic up to the point that he started to smash his head against the ground three times. Despite being very close to death Lambert knew a few more hits would do it. So Lambert ran/limped towards Lashy and repeatedly hit him with his ax. Lashy let out a roar of pain and agony and and his mouth split completely open leaving a few fangs covered in Leshy's blood.

Lambert limped towards Leshy's corpse and saw something in the middle of the corpse. The lamb got closer and saw it was Leshy's heart and it was still beating. "Maybe I can take heart with me as proof that I've killed Leshy! And I'll take the green crown as a trophy!" The lamb thought out loud and ripped Leshy's heart out of his corpse. All of a sudden the chains attached to the door with a pentagram started to shake and snap off one by one and the door broke in pieces.

Lambert was transported to The One Who Waits realm.
"Leshy fell before you like a grain of sand before a tidal wave." The One Who Waits said with a laugh clearly pleased that the lamb successfully killed Leshy. Then Lambert was transported back to his cult where his followers were waiting for him. Lambert pulled out Leshy's heart for everyone to see and his followers cheered for their leader's victory. It was night time in the cult and everyone was sleeping in their sleeping bags. Everyone expected for Lambert who was at his temple currently going through his sermon book remembering one of the pages explaining what to do with the heart of a heretic until he found the page.
The page said if you offer the red crown a heart of the heretic it will absorb it and gain new abilities of your choice. Lambert placed the heart on the podium and choosed resurrection as the red crown's new ability. Then the red crown started to absorb the heart until it was completely gone.

Lambert closed the sermon book and put out the candles and walked out the temple. Lambert was about to turn in for the night until he remembered to do one more thing. The lamb walked to the near the entrance and placed the green crown that Lambert converted into a trophy on short pedestal and went to his hut to turn in for the night.
