⤷ in which seulgi tries
to make hyerin feel better...

──────────────────────

THE BRIGHTNESS AND INTENSITY of the sun was starting to make Hyerin contemplate one too many things; if it had truly been a smart decision to wear an all black outfit and if she should have said yes to this lunch date with Seulgi.

Her best friend had been the one to invite her out to try and get her to feel better about everything that was going on with Hyerin and Namjoon's fandoms and all the hate she was currently getting, saying that 'some sun and a day out with her best friend would make her feel better,' seeing as Hyerin had been burying herself in her studio at her company for literal days.

But then Seulgi had texted her almost 20 minutes ago telling Hyerin that she would be running a bit late from her own schedules, but she would be there as soon as she got out.

Maybe Hyerin was just having a bad day, but she was genuinely annoyed with almost every single thing (she was pretty sure that half of the people that passed by the table outside the cafe she was sitting at had recognized her, or at least sneaked a picture of her, but decided on not approaching her due to the major resting bitch face she had on).

The day started off by her dropping her coffee as soon as she got out of her car after arriving to her company. Then, after group ordering another one with some of her staff, a new intern brought it into her studio and ended up dropping it all over her and a brand new carpet she had just bought. After that, Haru, her manager, decided on dragging out a meeting that was only supposed to be 45 minutes long, to an hour and a half, resulting in her being late for a song's deadline, which then resulted in her producer getting upset with her (though she did give him an earful for having the audacity to be upset with her when it wasn't her fault, so that did make her feel a tad bit better).

Luckily——or so she thought——, she had been able to escape her shitty day from work and the company to go spend the day with her best friend, but she had already been waiting for almost half an hour.

And, yeah, she was probably being a bitch because she knew that Seulgi could also get busy and caught up in work, that she wasn't the only one. But everything was becoming so overwhelming for her, and by everything, she meant all the hate she was still getting 3 months after this year's Billboard Music Awards.

It was getting tiring, honestly. Even though she was trying her best to not go on social media as much or engage in any drama, said drama was quite literally everywhere.

And, of course, after talking with Namjoon about it a couple of days after the award show, they had kept their promise to talk to each other about anything that bothered them, but to continue to support one another. It had been 5 months since they got together and everything had been going great, so Hyerin wasn't taking her chances and letting the ignorant hate comments get to her to the point where she casted her boyfriend out.

Though she'd be lying a little bit if she said that they didn't get on her nerves.

Her train of thoughts were interrupted when she hears her name shouted from afar. Her head shoots up from where she was staring daggers at her coffee, and the frown on her face immediately turns into a warm smile as her best friend practically runs in her direction while waving hello with a huge grin on her face.
